22.01.2022 Frankie.... Our new Travel Escape Vehicle.... Isuzu FTS750 Expedition Truck.

20.01.2022 Driving Frankie along these dirt tracks was by far the highlight of this trip The new perspective from being so high up makes it so much more fun than when we travelled with our 4x4 with a caravan. Just required a tad more concentration

19.01.2022 As promised- we will be going LIVE on fb with you all our fav supporters to catch up and share the plans for adventures to come. This SATURDAY 18th @ 4pm Here on our Trekking Downunder FB page... We are excited to finally be able to connect again- so many of you ask often when is the next LIVE.... so here’s one for you We will be chatting about the end of our trip leg back to the Blue Mountains. What happened to bring us home and what then has kept us here (on top the fires/ the floods and now the virus). Plus loads more too of course.... The kids, the Mag, the plans and Frankie the Expedition Truck . We look forward to hearing from everyone about your adventures too. So pop in a reminder, share the post, maybe even tag a mate if they have questions about any of our areas of travel (kids, off-road, Outback, trucks, work) and we’ll see you all on Saturday .

14.01.2022 This weekend we said goodbye to the last piece of our ‘Part 1’ of the All Australian Adventures puzzle. Our magnificent home on wheel Mollie found a new home with a wonderful couple from Sydney, Ian and Michele- who are gearing up for an incredible Aussie lap or 2 hopefully kicking off in 2021. It was a sad day for us as she was the favourite adventure buddy, but we are so excited to know this incredible van will continue to bring so many wonderful opportunities of outback ...and off road travel adventures for someone else. 3 weeks ago Pippy the Prado went off to a new home in Victoria too- ready to set off on some new touring adventures with a bloke who was after our exact set up and very happy indeed. And the final accessory the iKamper took off to QLD just prior to Covid, to some mates we met and ended up travelling the east to west French Line track across The Simpson with. Who had wanted one ever since they met us- and happened to see the for sale add and locked in the sale within 4hrs. Now it’s just the 5 Trekkers (or Truckers) and Frankie now.... On to the new epic adventures ahead Thanks for coming on then journeys with us! -Amy & Ryan

13.01.2022 Hello from Forbes NSW...... The Trekkers have taken advantage of the lift in restrictions to escape... We left a day early to head inland and into the place we prefer to call home.... ‘Frankie ’. ... Finally feeling ourselves again, out and in nature, we will jump in tomorrow to do a live walk through our new wheels. This is esp for all those who have been patiently waiting and those who’ve not been able to get away this weekend. -Amy & Ryan, plus the rascals 3.

12.01.2022 Excited to get these @victron_energy solar chargers installed this weekend and see how much of a difference the MPPT controller has over the old PWM controller. The Bluetooth feature is something I’m looking forward to playing with . (This is not a paid partnership post)

07.01.2022 Finally getting to enjoy Frankie and escape the daily grind A fun few days was spent out in Western NSW. This pic was from our camp in Forbes on the river. Amazing view and first ones there camping since they reopened to the public

06.01.2022 Throwback to earlier this year when we had lunch at Oberon Dam, NSW on our way back home. Amazing scenery and place for the kids to play.

01.01.2022 Back to the Highlights Reel.... So next step after we left the incredible Charlotte Plains Station (just outside of Cunnamulla in Southwest QLD) was St. George. A quick stop for lunch and a look at this insane fish sculpture.... Now just how awesome is this! Bunked up that night in Talwood at the Rec Centre (free camp) where we did another of our famous awesome Live chats- all about the Simpson Desert Crossing, 2019 BRB and more on Outback Tavel. That night we met the loc...al police officer and his gorgeous family. Had a wonderful chat and learned they were leaving their own family outback trip only a few weeks later. The next day, we drove through Goondiwindi before lunching in Millmerran and changing our first ever flat van tyre .... After an astonishing amount of kms between both Vans this was no 1..... so gotta be pretty happy with that when you look at the places we’ve been and seen! Slept the night in Cooyar in a really cool free camp called Swinging Bridge Park . Such a cute little quiet town!!! Then it was off through to check out the town of Toowoomba. This for us was quite significant of the route we took as this location surrounds appeal to us as a place to settle down the track.... Who knows where we will end up once the travel game is complete- but we have plenty of years before that time will come .....

01.01.2022 Been working hard on the truck lately. Here’s what I’ve been getting up to to improve our water quality and filtration system... it’s about being creative!!!
