24.01.2022 Susan and Ross also stayed with us on a powered but while they had a walk along the river, Susan took a photo of our river. You can see the lower water mark and how much of the weir wall is showing. We are just waiting for rain. Kim always says it is one day closer.....hoping for Sunday. We have some Azola (a little native aquatic fern) back again which is the pink tinge. Thanks for the photos Susan.

We have about a km of waterways you can explore in a canoe from our camping area. 17.01.2022 Our story continues: I am not really sure how you can tell a male Purple swamp hen from a female Purple swamp hen? I tried looking that up but to no avail....they are quite pretty with their purple plumage and reddish feet and their little white tail end. Those feet are not made to roost in trees. But....now there are TWO!! They must know something we don't?

01.01.2022 Let me introduce you to our "old" Corella couple. They have decided that our park is their place for retirement. Kim feeds the birds each afternoon and we have them sitting silently in one of our big eucalypts just waiting!! They don't travel with the group that occasionally flies over and only occasionally we hear them make their noisy screech.

01.01.2022 I know it is almost summer but we had a day last week when you could almost imagine it was snowing!! We had thousands of little white butterflies invade the park. Too fast for some but Bas caught one napping towards the end of the day.
