25.01.2022 The countdown is on with EarthFest just around the corner and all the final preps sorted. We are beyond thrilled with the support we have received, but even more over the moon that we are able to give back to the locals, with 100% of all proceeds going to "Fishing With A Farmer". Join dirtgirlworld and Scrapboy on Saturday 27th July from 10am, watch their show and meet n greet. Plus come along and support the local artisans who will be showcasing their craft on the day.... You can unwind in the chill zone, treating yourself to some natural therapies and tarot readings. There will be faceprinting and the kids can make their own insect hotel to take home. Groovy tunes to the vibes high whilst you taste some of the local produce from the local distilleries. Workshops by Sustainable Education and all this bought to you by Upper Hunter Shire Council and the Segenhoe Inn. Gold coin donation on the day.

The drought conditions are catastrophic, suicide is at an all time high and the livelihoods of some many are being changed forever. 16.01.2022 Happy Hump Day everyone - 1.5 weeks away from Earthfest Saturday July 27 10am - 4pm at the historic Segenhoe Inn 56 MacQueen Street Aberdeen. Workshops in sustainable living practices from the team at Sustainable Education. We have the amazing Eaton Gorge Theatre Company performing on the day with Madam Mulch and Tree Tales plus the incredible dirtgirlworld and Scrapboy. Artisans, performers, yummy food and so much more - see you there.

15.01.2022 Young Wedding 2.0 So excited to share this with you all, we had such a magical day We can’t thank everyone who contributed to the day enough, but a special mention to Luke McDonagh for capturing and creating this video with all of our special moments.

14.01.2022 We decided to wait before giving everyone an update on where the Segenhoe Inn currently sits. Under government guidelines on Covid-19 for licensed premises we cannot hold any functions / weddings until the ban is lifted. If you have a wedding or function booked we will be contacting you in the next 24 hours. As it stands the accommodation side of our business is currently permitted to be open, and we are instituting wide ranging changes to ensure the health and safety of ours...elves and guests. These changes include drastically reducing the number of rooms available to 3 and ensuring that guests are not sharing any facilities including bathrooms & kitchens. We understand the impacts that Covid-19 has had on everyone’s lives and hope you all stay safe & well. With our son stranded in the Northern Territory (for the next 6 months or more) we would be happy to offer free short term accommodation to anyone that finds themselves in a similar situation. We may come under some criticism for staying open but we are doing everything we can to stay safe and pay the rent! Michelle & Richard See more

13.01.2022 Have you ever being so excited you feel like you could burst? Well that's me at the moment, I am literally counting down the sleeps until EarthFest Friday|Saturday this weekend and I am over the top thrilled to be sharing the Friday with Costa Georgiadis Official Costa Georgiadis and the kids from Aberdeen Preschool Aberdeen Primary School and St Josephs Aberdeen, not to mention Costa giving of his time to facilitate a community workshop. Then Saturday the festival will be... jammed packed with dirtgirlworld and Scrapboy, Sustainable Education and awesome stall holders just like Mark Haynes Sculptor (Timber With Attitude, untrashy, Little Hands Make Magic, Oz Tukka and Earth Medicine & Cultural Connection. We are so grateful for the community support we have had in getting this event off the ground and there has been a lot of hard work put into making sure this event is successful for the local community in relieving some of the pressures of this catastrophic drought. Thank you to Cressfield for donating 500 trees for National Tree Day and when you attend the festival please take one home to plant, also Upper Hunter Shire Council and "The We Live Here" fund for your help on the day. 11.01.2022 We had an amazing group of people who came to stay at the Inn for a 60th birthday celebration. They had a wonderful tale to tell about the last night of the old Segenhoe Inn before it closed in 1987, see their story below.

09.01.2022 Thank you to all those involved with EarthFest 2019, with a special mention to my talented sister Melissa Cooper @ Sustainable Education for working with us (myself & Richard) to create an amazing event. Big thank you to Upper Hunter Shire Council and in particular Melinda Hale and Cressfield Stud for their support including 500 plants to giveaway. We would also like to thank our local media partners 98.1 Power FM, The Scone Advocate and Muswellbrook Chronicle.... On a personal note a big shout out to those people who gave up their time to help on the day including members of the local fire brigade, Red Cross, friends and family. We are extremely grateful to everyone who attended (including stall holders) and are overwhelmed by the positive feedback we have received and are planning for EarthFest 2020 which will start next week after having a couple of days off. EarthFest is just around the corner literally and we are going to flood social media all week, which will probably drive you nuts, but at least you won't forget us... Right? We are excited to have Eaton Gorge Theatre Company with Madam Mulch and Tree Tales performing. We will have wonderful stall holders, some of which are:- Suz E Bee Candles, Virginia Ede Natural Therapist at Maggies Farm Sanctuary, Mama's Craft Shop, Rustic Recycles,... Zdenka Douglas Resin Jewellery, The Miracle Kombucha, Sustainable Education and we will have the Chill Out Zone with Tarot Readings, Earth Medicine and Bowen Therapy. Hennessy Coffee, will be there showcasing their new range of reusable cups, and when you purchase one, you get your first coffee on them. I know what I will be doing and I so hope they are there early for my morning pick me up...
