24.01.2022 Objection to Grant of Planning Permit.

23.01.2022 Dear all residents, amended plans have been sent to objectors by the developer. The amendments are very major with introduction of two separate apartment blocks. I will be in consultation with the town planning department at Hobsons Bay City Council on Monday to gain further info on the updated plans. Can everyone with concerns please email me them so that I can collate and compile for the upcoming VCAT hearing. If you require to look at the updated plans please email me on [email protected]. 23.01.2022 Dear Residents, RE: UPDATE #1 - VCAT Hearing 637 Melbourne Road, Spotswood Just a quick update to provide the progress/update of the development since the preliminary hearing at VCAT late October 2014.... It was decided by all the residents in attendance at the preliminary hearing that I would be the resident's representative and would be the conjugate to pass on updates. It was agreed by all parties that the applicant (the developer) would provide copies of the amended drawings and documents to all the residents that attended the preliminary hearing prior to the VCAT hearing now set for 11-13 March 2015. The relevant 3 sets of amended documents will be supplied for all residents to view via the Council website and offices. Regardless of amendments,the town planning department’s stance on the application has not changed and they do not wish to compromise, despite the applicant's intended amendments. Council stated they would be represented by a solicitor the next VCAT hearing. I will send an email to Sue Gauci, the town planer from Hobson's Bay City Council to touch base with her to see if there is anything that we can now do to strengthen our case or provide any information that may be of use. If you feel you can contribute in anyway, please be in contact. Furthermore, VCAT requires contact details of all the residents that made objections. Please find attached (HBCC Submission Details.pdf) a list that was obtained from the council. If your details need to be added or amended please contact me or respond to this email with the appropriate details. 22.01.2022 Dear Residents, RE: UPDATE #2 - VCAT Correspondence... Please find attached a copy of the VCAT Order outlining that the Applicant (Melbourne Cup Pty. Ltd.) wants to amend the application for planning permit. Amended architectural drawings need to be served to the VCAT, Responsible Authority (Hobsons Bay City Council), Vicroads, Melbourne Water, Additional sets to myself and Respondents (You) who attended the Practice Hearing no later than 30 days prior to the proposed hearing. Additional Expert Evidence need to be served to the VCAT, Responsible Authority (Hobsons Bay City Council), Vicroads, Melbourne Water, Additional sets to myself and Respondents (You) who attended the Practice Hearing no later than 10 days prior to the proposed hearing. 13.01.2022 Good news for the residents of Spotswood, the Town Planning submission for Melbourne Road has been declined by the Town Planning Department at Hobson Bay City Council. Thanks to all the residents and friends of Spotswood for the support.

12.01.2022 This is a shout out to all my friends and family. Last night I attended the local RSL in Spotswood. It was upsetting to see 2 guys there having a couple of beers. One being a returned veteran of 90 years old who keeps the place going and a social member. What I now ask and I very rarely ask anything on Facebook is for all I know to become social members for a small amount of $35. Unfortunately if they do not get more members they have no option but to close the RSL down. We all make sure we spend the important days remembering these important people on days like ANZAC day and Remembrance Day. We need to celebrate these men everyday and make sure the RSL stays open. This is due by no later than 1 month prior to the proposed VCAT hearing. Can all members that where present at the last Preliminary hearing please forward their objections to me.
