24.01.2022 Remembrance Day is an opportunity to commemorate those who selflessly fought and lost their lives from all wars and conflicts during war time. Today is a special day for Fred Stewart - a resident at ACH Group's Kapara residential care home and a former veteran. Fred spent nearly 4 years in the Australian Army during World War II and witnessed it all. His proudest memories are of the many life-long frienships he made along the way and the satisfaction of serving his country.... Today, he remembers his friends who fought together during World War II and the experiences they shared during Army Service. Fred pictured in the middle of his mates during his Army Service and admiring the historic Red Cross quilt - a fundraiser by Glenelg Methodist Red Cross Circle in 1941 which was one of the two quilts presented to Kapara during World War II. #LestWeForget #RemembranceDay
24.01.2022 Remembrance Day marks the day that World War I ended in 1918. Today we pause to remember the many Australians who selflessly fought for freedom and never came home. Lest we forget.

23.01.2022 On International Men's Day, we acknowledge the importance of social connections and the benefits they have on men's health. This year's theme focuses on making a positive difference to the wellbeing and lives of men. Whilst it might be currently closed due to COVID-19, the Men's Shed at ACH Group's Perry Park residential care home is a place of vibrancy and connection as residents meet to work on different woodworking projects including making toys, decorations, and furniture. #InternationalMensDay #MensHealth #GoodLivesForOlderPeople
23.01.2022 ACH Group is excited to announce the renewal of its naming rights agreement at Glenelg Oval for another 2 years. Home to the Glenelg Football Club (SANFL) and Glenelg District Cricket Club, the multi-use sports complex will continue to be known as ACH Group Stadium. It is currently an exciting time with two Sheffield Shield games and the 2020 Bay Sheffield being hosted at ACH Group Stadium.... The multi-use sports complex and ACH Group share many common values, including recognising the importance of an active lifestyle, a sense of community and regular social connection to our overall health.
21.01.2022 Today on World Kindness Day, we pause and reflect on the random act of kindness that our community has performed over the past few months to support one another and spread kindness during the COVID-19 pandemic. Inspired by our community, ACH Group held its SALA exhibition this year with the theme "Kindness changes everything". The response was overwhelming - from the messages of kindness received to over 2,000 glitter coated and beautifully painted and embellished butteries... put together as an art installation. Buttery artists range from 2 to 103 years old, from residents at ACH Group’s residential care homes, over 20 schools across South Australia, family, staff and many more! Read more about our kindness stories and don't forget to spread kindness today: achgroup.org.au//li/community/kindness-changes-everything/ #KindnessChangesEverything #WorldKindnessDay
