25.01.2022 Entries for the 2020 Victorian 6 Hour Relay close shortly and the organisers are working hard to make the event happen and COVID-19 compliant. We have had good dialoge with the circuit and Motorsport Australia and preparations are falling in to place. The event is not yet full, so if you have been thinking of entering the event in the past but not made the cut, this year is your year. To enter go to the 6 Hour Web site www.6hourrelay.com.au and click the link to enter. We would also add that if things change and the event cannot go ahead you entry fee will be refunded. We look forward to seeing you all at this year's event.

20.01.2022 The 2019 Victorian 6 Hour is almost here and we are all prepared. We had the Tuesday night Doc check last night and processed over 50% of the teams which was great. This time in 2 more sleeps and we will be into Friday park up. We are happy to confirm that the circuit will be available to us from 5:00pm rather than the advertised 6:00pm, so we will be opening the gates for access from 5:00pm until 7:30pm. We must all be out of the circuit by 8:00pm. We look forward to seeing you on Friday night and hope you all had a great weekend.
18.01.2022 6 Hour all packed and about to leave for the Island. Safe travels to all our competitors and officials and thanks to Rob Splatt of Splat engineering for the loan of his trailer to carry it all to the circuit. See you all over the weekend.
18.01.2022 Good afternoon, just a reminder that we are doing document check for those who can make it at the Emerald Hotel Clarendon Street, South Melbourne from 8.00pm. The more checking we can get done tonight the easierSaturday morning will be. The Hotel has excellent bistro or counter meals and many teams have used the night for a strategy meeting or social night in the past. We look forward to seeing as many people who can make it tonight.
18.01.2022 To all our competitors and officials, we hope you are all staying safe and well in these difficult times. We have had a number of calls, wanting to know what is happening with the 2020 6 Hour Relay on the 8th & 9th of August. We are very aware of the situation and restrictions due to COVID19 and are watching developments closely. At this stage we are working towards the 2020 event and are preparing our regulations to apply for a Permit from Motorsport Australia. We are planning to open entries late May or early June. We would also like to assure teams that should Government restrictions cause the event to be cancelled all entry fees will be refunded. We look forward to seeing a full grid for the event in August. As more information comes to hand we will up date the Facebook site and the web site.
18.01.2022 2016 Victorian 6 Hour Relay has been run & won. We have our first back to back winners and I congratulate Panorama Mountain Men on their victory. 2nd was Black Sheep and 3rd was Cutting Edge. The day started with a remembrance for our Chief Scrutineer, John Mason with a 30 seconds of noise tribute. Thank you to all the fabulous officials who gave their time. It was a great event.
18.01.2022 We hope all our 6 hour competitors and officials are staying safe and well. We are progressing well with our planning for the 2020 event and working our way through the Motorsport Australia return to racing information to work out how our procedures will need to change for 2020. We will certainly have to change how we conduct document check, drivers and officials briefings, Scrutineer and many other procedures. Some of the requirements are going to produce new challenges but ...nothing is impossible. In 2020 we will be going to a paperless on line entry system, further details in the next couple of weeks. The 2020 Supplementary Regulations are now available on our web site www.6hourrelay.com.au and the link to be able to enter will go live about the end of the month. We assure all teams that should things change and we are unable to run the event a refund will be made. Please start planning your teams and be ready to go by the end of May. We look forward to seeing a full grid of teams again in2020. See more

11.01.2022 Dear 6 Hour Relay Competitors, Officials and friends. It is with regret that following the recent announcement from the Premier of Victoria, Mr Daniel Andrews, concerning the lockdown of metropolitan Melbourne due to COVID-19 we have now been placed in the position where we are unable to conduct the event and as such have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Victorian 6 Hour Relay. We thank your team for their interest and entry for 2020 and a full refund of the en...try fee will be issued The organisers of the Victorian 6 Hour Relay apologise for any inconvenience which may occurred due to this cancellation and look forward to coming back in 2021 bigger and better. Stay well and stay safe until we meet in 2021.

06.01.2022 IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING FUEL FOR THE 2019 VICTORIAN 6HOUR RELAY All competitors in the 2019 Victorian 6 Hour Relay please note: as from 1st July 2019 the use of leaded racing fuels in motorsport is banned. This ban includes our event. Also please note there has been a change to the fuel supplier for the event and the fuel will now be supplied by Race Fuels. As you would all be aware the organisers of the event would prefer all competitors to use the fuels provided by... Race Fuels and not bring your own. Race Fuels has a range of products to suit all applications and these are all available from bowsers at the fuel bund. This means fresh fuel, no contaminates, no drums to store and no empty drums to take home. Please download the Fuel Account Registration Form and send to Race Fuels so they can be sure to have enough fuel for all those who need it. Please remember you will only pay for the fuel you purchase at the event. If you opt to bring your own fuel, there are some things you will need to comply with for the event. All fuel must be stored in the fuel bund in the area designated and you must comply with the storage guidelines listed on the 6 Hour web site. You will also need to transport your fuel from the fuel bund to the refuelling area behind garages 50 to 59 to refuel. You will also need to provide a second person to help with the refuelling and this person must be attired in neck to ankle clothing and be wearing fully enclosed shoes, this person must man a fire extinguisher, ready for any fire that may occur. It is also your responsibility to clean up any spills before you leave the refuelling area. After completing the refuel you must take your empty drums back to the fuel bund. No drums may be stored in the garages at this event or in the boots of cars or in trailers. Breaches of these rules will be severely dealt with. Also remember that you must take any fuel not used and all empty drums home with you at the end of the event. For the Fuel Compound Storage Guidelines, details of the bund opening times and the account registration form please visit our web site at www.6hourrelay.com.au See more

Our preparation is going smoothly and hopefully you are all preparing well also. Again this year we will be giving a trophy for the best team grid presentation in the spirit of the event. Tuesday night we will be conducting document check for those who can make it. This will be conducted at the Emerald Hotel in Clarendon Street South Melbourne. The hotel offers good bistro and counter meals if you want a team meeting before dock check starts at 8.00pm. To all teams especially those travelling from interstate, have a safe trip.
06.01.2022 The organisers of the Victorian 6 Hour Relay at Phillip Island are pleased to announce that we now can confirm that the event in 2020 will be conducted on the 8 & 9 of August. We again plan to conduct the Tuesday night document check and the Friday night park up. More information on these nights closer to the date. We ask you all to lock in the 8 & 9 August and entries are planned to open Mid-May.
05.01.2022 All our 6 hour relay competitors and officials, the organisers hope you are keeping safe and well. In the last week we have had two very positive meetings with Motorsport Australia and the Phillip Island circuit and are still confident and working towards another successful event. Entries are coming in steadily but we are still able to accept a few more, so if you are planning to enter, get your entries in as soon as you can. We have had some restrictions on numbers we can have this year and when we reach this limits we will turn the on line entry system off. We will all definitely see some things done differently this year but we are sure the event will be a good one. I also remind all those who have entered and those thinking of entering that if the event is cancelled due to COVID-19 your entry fee will be refunded.

02.01.2022 Victorian 6 Hour Relay Inc. is pleased to advise that entries for the 2020 event are open and they are coming in steadily. As was expected this year, due to the process using the new on line system, entries did not fill in the first day, but are steady and we are on track for another great event. There are a number of teams who have submitted their form A but at this stage are dropping down the list and cannot complete the registration as they have not yet paid. If you know of one of these teams please give them a reminder. We are working hard to make the event comply with the government regulations and Motorsport Australia Return to Race requirements and look forward to seeing you all at the event in August.
