25.01.2022 Hi everyone. There will be no service from 6RCI from tomorrow onwards. Our beloved radio station is receiving major renovations which means radio will be disconnected.... All radio shows, radio emergency broadcasts, regular radio, band rehearsal/recordings and station visits will cease until further notice. Will advise when we are up and running again. 25.01.2022 As a result of volunteering 6RCI Christmas Island Community Radio Station I landed myself into an interview with ABC News for the Chinese Australian community. Interview was less than 24 hours notice and had to get up early to get rid of my mo! Check it out when it’s streamed live 5pm AEST on ABC today. 19.01.2022 Big thank to our new muso guests Hannah and Ben for their beautiful performances last night alongside our 6RCI muso team. We have awesome talent here on the rock with guitars, flute, violin, mandolin and Irish drum all coming out! Young Hannah sounded like a beautiful new Joan Baez. Another big thank you to our newest DJ, DJ M&M. She did fabulous last night. Her new show is looking to start next Wednesday afternoon, dedicated to our teenie-boppers (ok beautiful young people)... out there. DJ Gypsy
