24.01.2022 Today was the #puffingbilly #greattrainrace and the aim was to #beatthetrain. And by pure luck I managed to beat puffing billy by 3 seconds . Well done to Stuart Kingma who beat it by a much bigger margin of 8 minutes.

23.01.2022 Day 5 Sydney. I was completely stuffed today. I got to about 25kms then had to walk for 11kms. Then took some pain killers and I ran the last 6kms. But another 1 done and I think Canberra will bring me back under 5 hours. I needed a down day. We are all doing this for Bravehearts but as an added bonus everyone here is awesome and I have certainly met some lifelong friends.

21.01.2022 Less than 9 weeks to go. Finally back to full time training after recovering from a calf issue. I ran Run 4 The Kids a few weeks ago and doing the Puffing Billy race this weekend. Both with my friend Stuart Kingma. And less than $1,400 to raise to get to $10k. Going to aim for 3 consecutive half marathons next week and finally get to this 100km in a week. Thanks guys

18.01.2022 Thanks Alan Shields for the treatment. First run back and legs feel great.

17.01.2022 Launceston Run 4. What an awesome day today. A very cold start of about zero degrees but a beautiful course and the sun was out all day. After planning to walk I decided it was too cold so started jogging and didnt stop (much anyway). My legs actually feel better than last night. Off to Sydney now. Jess and the Bravehearts & Aurora crew are making each run a great experience for all National & State Runners. Fantastic work

16.01.2022 Cant believe there is only 4 weeks to the first run in Perth. Its not too late to sign up as a State Runner and join in the day. https://bravehearts.org.au/777 And amazingly Im less than $700 to go to get to my $10,000 target. Thank you all for donating and if you would like to help me get over the line here is the link https://sna.etapestry.com///777national2019/individual.do PS Liverpool are Champions of Europe and are the reason there was no running today

14.01.2022 Final day on the Gold Coast. Felt pretty good for most of the run. 3rd fastest for the week so really happy I took it a bit slower yesterday. So what a week. What a whirlwind. Looking forward to the dinner tonight. Thanks again for all the support. Ill do a final wrap up tomorrow.

11.01.2022 And Im off. Hope the weather is a little nicer in Perth

09.01.2022 Under 100 days to go. Ive now raised over $7,400 so well on my way to $10k. Thank you to everyone who has donated. Ive injured my leg this weekend so training will need to be modified for the next 2-3 weeks. Plenty of swimming and gym work ahead. If anyone is planning on running any of the State runs, here is the link. Remember you can run many different distances. Thanks to Bree Hallett for joining the Perth leg and Peter Stephenson for joining Melbourne. https://bravehearts.org.au//bravehearts-777/state-runners/

08.01.2022 Day 6 in Canberra was a good day. I took it pretty easy so I can try and get a good time tomorrow. Not too cold and great running around the lake. The courses have all been amazing. Up on the Gold Coast for the marathon tomorrow.

05.01.2022 There arent too many training guides to prepare for 7 marathons in 7 days. My first goal is to run 100kms in 1 week. First 2 weeks of training and Ive only managed around 50km a week. Anyone who uses Strava and wants to follow my progress then this link should work or just search my name. Thanks https://www.strava.com/athletes/31425131

04.01.2022 Thanks to all who have liked, shared and donated so far. Just under 5 months to go and 1/3 of the way towards my fundraising target which is great. Training is ...coming along well and body is feeling great. Still havent hit 100km in a week but averaging 60-70km. Starting a 20 week training program on Monday. If you are interested in running the Melbourne (or any other state) with me here is the link. Wednesday 3rd July is Melbourne. https://bravehearts.org.au//b/state-runners/melbourne-vic/ See more
