Fall...ing on quiet times after the 1911 cyclone, the population dipped to around 200 people before tourism (and Christopher Skase) came in to revive it in the 1980s. And now? It’s the perfect escape. Somehow a combination of sleepy fishing village, millionaire’s playground, backpacker haven and tropical holiday retreat all rolled into one. #portdouglas #throwbackthursday
