12.01.2022 Postponement of Booking Over the past few days and weeks, we have been monitoring the escalation of the COVID-19 coronavirus and trying to navigate an ever-changing travel and business environment. It has been our aim to support our valued staff, while also being understanding of your changing needs as the restrictions have become ever more impactful. Up until yesterday we have been able to maintain a business as usual approach, with increased consideration for cleaning mea...sures and spacing between guests, however we feel the situation has now evolved beyond the point of normal or usual. States and the National bodies have announced stricter border controls, and both individuals and businesses are being asked to review what may be considered essential. Due to the increased risk to our staff, other guests and the general community, we believe it would be irresponsible of us to continue to encourage our guests to undertake non-essential travel at this time. While this will no doubt have a significant impact on our business, we trust that with the support of our guests, our communities and our industry partners that we will not only get through this challenging time, but come out the other side stronger. We are committed to remaining open and continuing to provide accommodation options to visitors who are still engaging in essential transit, but are postponing our tours until end of May this year at this point in time. We look forward to rebooking you in at a later date. See ourwebsite for current available dates. We wont be charging cancellations fees to those rebooking in the next 12 months, however if you wish to cancel with the intent of no longer travelling at all - were happy to discus what your options are. 08.01.2022 As Barham Riverland Motel is situated in a Border town, we will have to wait for both NSW and Victoria to be aligned with travel arrangements and opening of the industry. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT WE DO NOT CONTROL WHEN WE CAN OPEN IT IS THE GOVERNMENTS DECISION Today, the Victorian Premier announced some easing of COVID-19 social restrictions from midnight tomorrow night similar to those announced by NSW. ... We are still closed except for essential travelers. Under Victorias very cautious approach to restriction easing, the government has re-confirmed the current limits on travel will apply until at least 31 May. NSW has given no indication of when we may be able to open. No set date but all dependent on how step one pans out, and the final decision rests with the individual state governments In either NSW or Victoria holidays are unable to be taken, accommodation cannot be booked, and friends or family cannot make social visits where that visit requires overnight accommodation. These rules apply to all forms of accommodation. Please keep following the government updates, and as soon as we know we can reopen you will hear from us. Stay safe and stay well. We hopefully will see you all in the not too distant future.
