24.01.2022 The Bexley Auction is still on this coming Sunday but please note that no lunches will be provided. Lunch can be purchased from McDonalds, which is next door to the auction venue or you may bring packed lunches from home or make other arrangements by supporting local businesses, I'm sure they will appreciate your patronage. 24.01.2022 UPDATE ON BRASEA AUCTION THIS SUNDAY. If necessary we are considering alternate auction procedures to implement that will allow the auction to continue if we feel there is an unacceptable risk to attendees either through high patronage numbers or on the understanding of changes to health advice's. We have everyone's safety foremost in our minds and hope that the auction will provide a brief distraction from current events.

18.01.2022 After a great deal of effort to organise the 2020 Brisbane Auction ASBS BRASEA has been forced to cancel the 2020 Auction and we will now concentrate on 2021. All bookings by Vendors in 2020 will be moved to the July 2021 event to be held at Strathpine, subject to Hall confirmation. We have just been unable to organise 2020's Hall booking and the closed Borders has meant over 30% of the Sellers and more of the Buyers have been shut out it is very concerning financ...ially to us as no one wishes to assist Non-profit organisations recover from these disasters all beyond their control - plenty of money is handed out to all sorts of Clubs but none is available for National bodies supporting National Livestock anyway if we can manage financially somehow, we will endeavour to continue our work in 2021 said Warren Wilson CEO BRASEA See more

05.01.2022 Today Abbie’s new car was delivered ready for the required modifications so she can become mobile and get out and about when it is safe to do so. We still have ...to wait a few months for the modifications to be completed but this is another step forward towards home and independence. Once again we thank the incredible donation from the Ipswich Budgerigar Society for the huge donation they made. The hard work of the Ipswich members, in particular Joel Keune, and members from around the country who donated birds to the fund raising auction was greatly appreciated. The funds from the Ipswich club have been directly used to assist in the purchase of the car. Many members and friends from clubs in the Brisbane area have also contributed to Abbie’s recovery journey.

01.01.2022 Tasmanian Budgerigar Society held it's Summer Show Saturday 7th March at the Kensington Community Hall, Glenorchy A good representative of Tasmanian Breeders took part with many beautiful birds on Show. The judges for the day were: Alan Baxter (Melb) & Noel Kerr (Tas).
