25.01.2022 YOUR HEALTH AND OUR HIGH TEA The health of all of our guests is of the utmost importance to us. Some of you have asked us if COVID-19 will mean the event will be cancelled. We can tell you that there are no plans to cancel or reschedule our High Tea and we are confidently proceeding as planned. We are receiving regular updates about any measures we need to put in place, and at this stage, advice is for everyone to proceed with business as usual. So, we are looking forward to a wonderful day with you all. WE WOULD, HOWEVER, ASK THAT GUESTS USE COMMON SENSE AND EXTEND COURTESY TO OTHERS SO IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING ANY COLD OR FLU TYPE SYMPTOMS, PLEASE GIVE THIS EVENT A MISS THIS YEAR. If advice changes, we will notify you immediately of plan B. Thanks again everyone. We’re all very excited to see you next week.

23.01.2022 High tea a sell out. At this stage we are unable to take further bookings for this event. If you have already indicated to a committee member that you are attending then you should be included in this event. If in doubt check with that committee member. All monies should be received by the Strathfield Committee by 29 February. Thank you to everyone who is attending. We love forward to another wonderful event.
22.01.2022 A Beautiful Day for our Annual Bus Trip. Thank you to all who could join us at Gledswood to enjoy a delightful day of history, light-as-air scones for morning tea as well as a typical Aussie roast lunch.

18.01.2022 How exciting is it in these Covid 19 times to have something to look forward to! Our MELBOURNE CUP LUNCH at Strathfield Golf Club which adheres to all NSW Government and NSW Health protocols. There will be a TAB on site for all your betting needs and we will be holding $5, $2 and $1 sweeps. There will also be a raffle. With prizes for best dressed woman, man and best hat / fascinator and a delicious menu to enjoy it will be a fun filled day. If you have not already booked be quick as we are filling up fast!
17.01.2022 Update on events for remainder of 2020 We hope you have all been safe and well during the COVID19 restrictions and that you are starting to enjoy some of the freedoms we are now allowed. The Committee held its first meeting since March this week to discuss what may be possible and what may not in coming months and came to the decision that, if we are able to have any functions they are unlikely to be until mid October at the earliest. For events such as the Golf Day we will a...wait advice from Concord Golf Club as to whether they will be able to offer us another day in 2020 or whether we will have to wait to 2021. The annual Quiz Night will be dependent on social distancing rules at the time at the venue. Our annual bus trip will most probably await a further lessening of restrictions to allow more people to attend. We will keep you posted if it is possible to hold a larger event before the end of the year. So we hope it will not be too long before we can see everyone again. This has been a strange year and unfortunately it is not over yet. Let's keep our fingers crossed that things will return to a new normal next year. See more

12.01.2022 GOLF DAY CANCELLED We have been advised by Concord Golf Club that, in line with new Government guidelines on social distancing, our annual golf day cannot go ahead.

01.01.2022 STRATHFIELD COMMITTEE HIGH TEA 2020 DETAILS Wednesday 18 March at 11.30am Figtree Conference Centre, 5 Figtree Drive, Sydney Olypmic Park Tickets: $70 per person... Please note this is a very popular event which sells out as numbers are limited. To avoid disappointment book and pay for your tickets early. RSVP is 29 February unless sold out prior. Limited parking is available on site as not all spots are for the use of Figtree Conference Centre. Alternative parking is available at P2 (Aquatic Centre) which is a short (200m) flat walk to the venue. Champagne will be served and you will be able to wander various stalls before the event commences. A raffle and a Silent Auction of hand made quilts will be held as usual. Be sure to check your setting for a Lucky Door Prize! Naturally the Committee will be preparing all the delicious food we serve on beautiful Royal Albert settings kindly provided by Waterford Wedgwood Royal Albert. We look forward to seeing you there!
