21.01.2022 Today Marks 15 years of me having opened and run the restaurant on Miskin st ! Around 7 1/2 years as Brents and 7 1/2 years as 85 Miskin st. Firstly Id just like to say thanks to all the loyal customers and fans of what we do at Miskin st. Without your support I wouldnt be able to get out of bed every morning and do what I love . I feel so blessed! To my wife Kylie thank you for everything you do in life for me and running the restaurant with me! To my current and former... staff thank you for helping me keep the engine firing ! It seems quite surreal to be still here after all this time. I have seen restaurants come and go over that time and am glad we are still here battling on riding this rollercoaster. Through all the blood , sweat and tears over the years I am truly grateful for all the memories, people Ive met, the regular customers and the relationships I ve made. Even though the restaurant has been my life and I love what I do , I have realized its not about striving for awards , pats on the back for cooking a good meal , having the best wine list etc , its more than that ! Its all about the people you share it with! For me ,by being able to bring people together to enjoy food and wine and in turn being a part of helping people create memories is probably the most humbling thing about my job Thanks again to everyone for supporting us over the years ! 07.01.2022 Firstly Id just like to thank everyone for the support in keeping us afloat over the last 6 weeks! Its been a real rollercoaster ride for us all but just wanted to say that Kylie and I really appreciate everyone who has had a takeaway order from 85 Miskin st in that time ! As restrictions have been eased, 85 Miskin st will be open from next Tuesday the 19th for a maximum of 10 patrons . We will only be offering a 5 course table de hote menu for $65pp or an 8 course Degust...ation for $99pp dine in only which is available for both lunch and dinner. At lunchtime we will still be offering our 5 course lunch tasting set menu for $45pp .We will only be open for brunch on Saturday mornings from 10am to 1145am for our 4 course breaky/ brunch dego. The restaurant will be enforcing the new covid safe regulations. We will however still be offering our takeaway menu from 12 midday to 8pm Tuesday- Saturday for the foreseeable future.
