23.01.2022 We have worked extensively in this area, particularly during the wave of Syrian refugees fleeing to Lesbos Island. Mr Mitsotakis, the Greek prime minister, tweeted that he had phoned Mr Erdogan "to offer my condolences for the tragic loss of life from the earthquake that struck both our countries. Whatever our differences, these are times when our people need to stand together." Speaking Friday evening, Mr Erdogan thanked Mr Mitsotakis for his call and offer for help. He said Turkey was not currently in need but reciprocated by saying, "We stand by Greece." He also thanked other countries for their offers of aid.

17.01.2022 Always Was, Always Will Be. Always Was, Always Will Be. recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. First Nations are spiritually and culturally connected to this country.... This country was criss-crossed by generations of brilliant Nations. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people were Australia’s first explorers, first navigators, first engineers, first farmers, first botanists, first scientists, first diplomats, first astronomers and first artists. NAIDOC Week 2020 acknowledges and celebrates that our nation’s story didn’t begin with documented European contact whether in 1770 or 1606 - with the arrival of the Dutch on the western coast of the Cape York Peninsula. NAIDOC 2020 invites all Australians to embrace the true history of this country a history which dates back thousands of generations. It’s about seeing, hearing and learning the First Nations’ 65,000+ year history of this country - which is Australian history. We want all Australians to celebrate that we have the oldest continuing cultures on the planet and to recognise that our sovereignty was never ceded. #naidoc2020 #australia #firstnations #progress #history

10.01.2022 The authorities in Izmir, the provincial capital, are now setting up a tent area to house about 2,000 people overnight, amid fears that more buildings could collapse. The authorities said that 70 people had been rescued from under the rubble. Rescuers continued to dig through concrete blocks after darkness fell, hoping to find more survivors.

09.01.2022 Authorities in both Turkey and Greece have reported dozens of aftershocks. Izmir Governor Yavuz Selim Köger called on residents to stay off the roads and refrain from using mobile phones unnecessarily so that emergency vehicles could reach affected areas and response teams could communicate effectively. In Greece, Samos Deputy Mayor Giorgos Dionisiou told Greek media that some old buildings had collapsed on the island.... People have been told by Greek authorities to stay away from the shore and buildings, and to be on alert for high waves as aftershocks continue.

06.01.2022 Our work is more than just delivering food to the impoverished corners of the world - it is about empowering these communities (especially their women). We aim to not only break the poverty cycle, but to empower impoverished women to fly higher and achieve their dreams; to not only be beautiful, delicate and compassionate but to be educated, competent and most importantly strong. Our smart and innovative programs (primarily pioneered and run by woman) aim to empower woman to... be economically, politically and socially successful. ... At AusRelief, the women on our executive, the frontlines and support teams, are the backbone of our family - the ones who always give up their time and that of their families, to make sure the job is done. #womenempowerment #equality #Sustainabledevelopmentgoals #Sdg5
