25.01.2022 Timeless is a word often over used, but it certainly applies to Cat Steven’s landmark 4th album Tea For The Tillerman. Featuring some of Cat’s best-known songs Hard Headed Woman, Wild World and Father And Son TFTT was an instant hit selling half a million copies in just 6 months, and saw many other artists cover his songs. A gifted lyricist, Stevens was just 22 years old at the time, but already had a world-weary, introspective flavour to his music which resonated with ma...ny young people and attracted a huge following. To celebrate its 50th anniversary Stevens/Yusuf Islam has reimagined the album with the original producer, rerecording it with updated instrumentation, and even includes a duet with his younger self on Father And Son.
