We want to spread the word and we want to inspire women to LOVE THE CHICK IN THE MIRROR - it’s #LIBERATING #EMPOWERING and soooo #WORTHIT . No matter what your current #bodyimage is, everyone can retrain their brain and learn to love that chick looking back from the mirror . It doesn’t happen overnight (well it didn’t for me .. but if it does for you, you are one lucky chick ) ... it’s a journey often made up of many small steps . I believe The Journey is more than just being about what you look like I think one of the important things is to #learnwhoyouare - get real honest with yourself - about yourself! Discover what your version of happiness looks like Deal with any ‘issues’ you may be holding onto from your past Face your fears ... if we Fear less - Fearless is what we become (that’s also one of our T-shirt slogans) . To Love the Chick in the Mirror is about becoming #selfaware and listening to your thoughts and also listening to what you are saying out loud - about yourself! .. but it’s also about hearing any judgement you put on others (I read once that when we are judging others most often that judgement is coming from our own inner judgement of ourself .. aka we don’t like ourself so we pass our criticism and insecurity onto others) . 16.01.2022 #Internationaldogday . Hi my name is Jimmy Dean . I am the master of my human - her name is Kylie but I know her as Mum. I cry when she goes to work and I wait at the gate for her all day until she comes home ... . I love snuggles with my Mum and I love love love lying in the sun I also love going for walks with my Mum and she lets me decide which way we go! . I am a bit of a ball freak, any ball will do even a huge one that my Mum does these weird exercises on, what is she doing, get off, I want to chase it!! . It’s about recognising, and appreciating the differences between male and female, hence the #yinyang ... . #EQUAL BUT DIFFERENT . I read a book once by Barbara and Allan Pease called Why Men don’t listen and Women can’t read maps (I highly recommend the book) ... what I got from this book is an understanding of how we are physically different (beyond the obvious ) ... and I gained an appreciation for those differences . Men and Women are different - biologically, physically and mentally. This is not something we should be battling over . What I got from the book is that if Men and Women learnt to acknowledge, accept and appreciate the differences there could potentially be a lot less arguments in their relationship . ... ... . 02.01.2022 Once upon a time ... ... there was a young Warrior named Kylie who was on her journey of learning to #lovethechickinthemirror While on her adventure (called life) she stumbled across a poem called The Man in the Glass (see 3rd page of post)... This poem really resonated with The Warrior ... and it got her thinking ... hmmm ... if the man in the glass is your friend The Warrior really loved what the poem was saying but it was all about being a man ... so The Warrior changed it to suit her (see 2nd page of post) She stuck it on her bathroom mirror where she would see it everyday - The poem became The Warriors #affirmation The Warrior is still on her adventure (called life) and she has Loved-the-Chick-in-the-Mirror so long now it’s just a part of her ... she has an #innerconfidence about her which enables her to #standtall and #walkproud The Warrior no longer worries about other people’s judgement of her because she knows in her heart that when others are making judgements that those people have not made friends with the one in the mirror This makes The Warrior sad because she knows how #liberating and free it feels to not have to worry what others think anymore The Warrior has realised how important and #empowering this message is so she created a #smallbusiness called #89hearts and she hopes to spread the word and #inspireothers to #taketheleap and find their own super #powerwithin The Warrior knows it takes #courageovercomfort to learn to Love-the-Chick-in-the-Mirror but she also knows that #confidenceisbeauty and that you need to #embraceyourself in order to #beyourbestself Instead of worrying about her #bodyimage or what others think about her The Warrior now spends her time wondering what her next amazing #motivationaltshirts design will be ... and she is often found sitting in the sun staring off just #dreaming and reminding herself to #createalifeyoulove Hmmm I wonder what the next chapter has in store for The Warriors adventure (called life) THE END . . .
