24.01.2022 This Giant Reign was bought in for our popular Platinum Service, which as you can see is a full strip down to frame. This customer didn’t require the Platinum Plus, which includes the swingarm taken off and all the pivots cleaned and refitted. 23.01.2022 So how many of you MotoGP nutters out there, like myself, like how Jack Miller has progressed in these recent years. Well, I can honestly put my hand up and say I thought he was just another overrated rider who, obviously could ride bloody quick, but he just ended up in the kitty litter way tooooo much. We ll these days he's matured into an young fella on track, with his competitors and the media, so I reckon a brand new designed AGV K1 helmet inspired by the 2019 Phillip Island event IS highly deserving. All sizes are available and with a retail price of just $329 it's a real bargain for us to show our appreciation of "Jackass", or if you pop in and order one it'll be $290 cash.

22.01.2022 So my main workshop job today was building up this Trek Fuel EX with parts sorted by Kev and some we had to sort out. There's heaps of good deals out there, although as I've said before, they aren't good deals if they are the wrong ones, are they. Anyway the final build worked our pretty good and about 2 kilos lighter than it was previously. 22.01.2022 So this my Insta friends is the finished Trek Remedy. The owner has had it for over three years and hasn't done much to it, apart from the suspension, so it certainly needed some work. The new DT Swiss wheels are an amazing upgrade and the usual driveline replacement, well that should be sorted regularly to keep them running smooth as. 21.01.2022 So it's not always about riding, I do actually work you know. This was my last workshop job today and it was a beauty. This RockShox Recon TK was obviously serviced a little while ago and the after market blue Enduro Seals haven't helped keep the all important fluid in where it's supposed to be. I always use the proper fork branded seals and in this case it'll be the RockShox fork seal kit. Its probably not just the fault of the Enduro Seals as it's in a badly maintained condition anyway. The fork seal rubber had seized itself into the recess and had to be scraped out. Certainly not the way forks should be looked after. 20.01.2022 It was my day off yesterday although I never mind taking a drive out to pickup stock. I knew I needed these for an upcoming workshop job this week and our usual supplier was out, so those great bunch out at Echelon Sports have got the goods. They aren’t allowed to do all the MTB components due to a contractual agreement, but they keep a few essentials we can get our hands on quickly. 17.01.2022 Such a simple device on these Scott Bikes, although as it secures the swingarm pivot bolt you must remember to check its tightness. It must have had a stick strike while out as the customer didn’t notice it missing until he got home. There was no sign of any significant damage apart from on the chain ring spider. 17.01.2022 So this Kona was an another awesome 1x12 makeover. It originally came out with Suntour Forks and a SRAM 3x9 groupset. So with the bike getting time for a driveline replacement anyway, Aaron decided why not spend a few extra dollars and bring it up to a modern hardtail. So he sourced a Manitou fork himself, then decided on the a mix of the awesome value for money, SRAM NX & GX Eagle 12 speed. We ended up stealing my GXP crank from my single speed and fitting it with a new direct mount 32t Eagle chain ring as we couldn’t find one anywhere. 15.01.2022 This was my first major workshop job for our brand spanking new year, which actually started a few months ago when Nathan had the hots for the upgrade I did on my Scott Spark. So with the same wheels as mine sorted from the guys at @ridejetblack just before Christmas and a few aborted delivery attempts to the "Closed for Christmas" Rad Studio, it was off to @echelonsportsaustralia for the Sram goodies and it was on. 14.01.2022 This beautifully maintained Fox Fork was my first workshop job today. OMG it was pretty bad, the fork fluid must have been leaking out the poor bugger for so long it had discoloured the lowers. 12.01.2022 So with the magic time of Christmas coming on quick and fast, I thought it was a good time to let you'se all know that we can get some really cool Radio Bikes just in time so Santa can place them under the good ole Christmas tree. 12.01.2022 What a difference a day makes and a bit of glue. I don't usually repair or even try to fix punctures, although as these Goodyear Peaks were still very new, I decided to try the old super glue and a tube patch to get me out for a ride this morning. So with some super glue filling in the tear and a tubeless patch on the inside, and a few hours of curing, then some magic blue Mitas sealant I was sorted. It was such a beautiful day again, although a bit chilly at 25 degrees, and ...with a fire in the belly from yesterday's stoppage, I decided to give these tyres some punishment for pissing me off and hit all the rockiest and hilliest trails in Daisy. I came away impressed, so they kinda redeemed their sorry black carcasses today. 09.01.2022 I woke up this morning feeling very sleepy after staying up late watching both the Women's and Men's UCI MTB World Champs, MotoGP & F1 Qualifying. So my plan this morning was to complete four consistent 45 minute laps of Leolands. It was a another beautiful sunny Queensland day, so I knew I had heaps of time to get out and ride, so with a 9am start I was off into the first of the flowy single track. 08.01.2022 Now we're talking I received two pretty cool deliveries today for the Trek Remedy I've had in here for a full strip down which I call my Platinum Plus Service. It means bare frame, including the all important swingarm coming off as well. It all gets cleaned, regreased and lock-tited where required, and this build also required fitting these awesome DT Swiss M1700 Boost 27.5 wheelset, which the guys were kind enough to get them out so quick for me so I could finish the Trek ...off before Santa turns up. 07.01.2022 So these are the Dirt Jumpers, which have been popular for those who wanted to progress to the bigger wheel to perform their stuff on. They have always come in cool out there colours and this year is certainly no different. From the classic steel, with a rigid fork Jumper to the more forgiving alloy framed front suspended models, so whatever your choice, Radio Bikes usally have it. These are all pictured with a rigid fork as the suspended models haven't had their photo's taken as yet.

07.01.2022 So with a name like Eggbeater how could you go wrong hey. These Crankbrothers pedals have been my preference since the early naughties and I can't see myself changing anytime soon. This also makes it easier for me to sell and therefore recommend them. The cleat feel under foot can take a bit of getting use to, although once you realise they don't come out unless you want them to, it's an awesome pedal to use and of course in the mud their is no better. The cool looking red ones were sold out although a couple of spare ones must have been found in the warehouse so they were mine quickly. 05.01.2022 My last workshop job today was to start work on this KHS 29 Winslow. KHS have been a great brand over the years and very keen to try new stuff. I remember when tge wheel sizes started to change and these guys had some models in all wheel sizes. I reckon that was a pretty cool thing to do, and we all know now what wheel size has won out don't we. Anyway the first part of this service was the poor, sad looking Suntour fork, and although most things are serviceable and usually fixable, this one will be replaced with a shiny new Rockshox fork.
