22.01.2022 Hello friction! With increasingly positive covid updates Sport Climbing Australia has given chalk balls the go ahead! If you haven't seen them before chalk balls are mesh type bags that contain loose chalk. Squeezing them (a bit like a stress ball) allows chalk to filter through onto the hands in a more contained manner than regular loose chalk. We'll be permitting the use of chalk balls at all 9d gyms, though they must be contained within a regular chalk bag (plastic bags or... similar will not do the job). It is still recommended that climbers sanitize their hands between attempting different boulders. Liquid chalk will still be provided for free for those who prefer it. Any questions? Ask below!
