23.01.2022 So it's launch day for my new track and it's accompanying film clip. As if to prove my ludditeness when it comes to matters device related, I haven't been able to share this as widely as I'd like so PLEASE SHARE the shit out of this folks if you think it's any good ( and please do even if you don't). ABNE
21.01.2022 There couldn't be a much more fitting year for a halloween single than 2020 ( not to mention the possible upcoming horror show of the US election in a week's time and the upcoming Friday November 13 ), so here it is. The film clip was directed by Matthew Cairns on a mountain top in Victoria and the song was recorded by Nikko Morganlowe and Ray Thomas. It's available now in all the places, but of course Bandcamp... is the place I'd really like you to go to; https://aboynamedesme.bandcamp.com/tr/come-back-to-haunt-me https://open.spotify.com/album/5LjZ4jiTyXxXc6JJ4FVxpc https://soundcloud.com/esme-macdonald/come-back-to-haunt-me Happy and haunting All Hallows Eve. 18.01.2022 Here's a trailer for my new single; "ALL MY DEVICES" out very soon on FRIDAY 25th SEPTEMBER And remember folks;... "NO ONE NEEDS YOUR SELFIE" See more
17.01.2022 Well, I was hoping my return to releasing new music would be a celebration of the end of Lockdown but as with many things during this (non) year that's proving to be a bit premature. Instead my new single is a celebration of things we've all probably become far too well acquainted with in the past six months. It's called; " ALL MY DEVICES" and it'll be out on FRIDAY 25TH SEPTEMBER.... The cover is a still from the great film clip that was made by the fab @LesPeters and filmed by my lovely daughter Osha on location in Hollywood ( and New York, Niagra Falls, London, The Lake District and Greece ), you know back in the days when you could actually travel to places. More to follow in the next two weeks. ABNE. :-)
15.01.2022 Wow. I think I've reached some kind of risqueness now, as FB ( presumably ) wouldn't run my latest Ad featuring my new film clip; " COME BACK TO HAUNT ME " ( to be fair someone does get bumped off in it ). So find out what all the fuss could be about here; https://aboynamedesme.bandcamp.com/tr/come-back-to-haunt-me Enjoy ghoulishly folks. ABNE.
12.01.2022 Well it’s tea time on Halloween ( and a Blue Moon to boot ) so me and my skull pot Reggie are ready for some Samhain action. As there are no Halloween events happening for non children in Victoria I may end up watching rugby ( fittingly one team will be in ALL BLACK and will probably easily win. ) There are always Halloween playlists to be run of course. This year YOU can add to you Halloween playlist with my new assault on the ears (and eyes) ; COME BACK TO HAUNT ME. You can hear ( and view ) at these places ( among others ). May the Ghouls be with you. ABNE. https://aboynamedesme.bandcamp.com/tr/come-back-to-haunt-me https://open.spotify.com/track/3vBBCQfcC7yv5LkKxRQII9

08.01.2022 Well, I may have only recently released a single ( All My Devices; which you can still listen to, watch and even buy right here :https://aboynamedesme.bandcamp.com/track/all-my-devices ) but I thought there was no better year than 2020 to be releasing a HALLOWEEN single ( not to mention the real life horror show that may develop in the US on November 3 and the upcoming FRIDAY 13 November ). So I set myself the challenge of getting just such a thing ready for this year, and... with the help of many lovely people ( who I will namecheck very soon ) it's going to happen. It's out on MONDAY 26 ROCKTOBER and it's entitled; " COME BACK TO HAUNT ME ". I'll share it very soon and here's a pic of the lovely Mal applying Day of the Dead make up on my face for the upcoming ( and hopefully spooky ) film clip directed by Matthew Cairns See more
08.01.2022 Well I thought 'Songs From Lockdown Hill' might be a thing of the past but it feels like it'll never end right now. If nothing else I hope the first 30 seconds or so of this might raise a smirk if nothing else. Please share with others if you approve. Ta folks. ABNE " Sometimes the dice are loaded, sometimes you get loaded too, sometimes you're named Belinda,... sometimes you're A Boy Named Sue ...." See more
07.01.2022 Posted a new song: "Come Back To Haunt Me" https://www.reverbnation.com/q/7qqtdd
06.01.2022 This week Songs From Lockdown Hill goes on location to a wee valley to the North of Adelaide ( filmed prior to this Lockdown business ), where a bunch of parrot...s join in on a version of my debut single ; "Watering Down the Whisky with My Tears ". I like to think they were just singing along ( but if anyone out there can translate South Australian Parrot perhaps you know better ? ). Cameras expertly wrangled by Ray Thomas. You can still listen to ( and then buy ) this song and it's parent EP : "The Country Rains" on Bandcamp ( It's also streaming on all the places ); https://aboynamedesme.bandcamp.com/album/the-country-rains See more
