24.01.2022 So our Xmas in July didn't quiet go right. I just put the bloody Turkey in the oven and then we get a god damn black out :( all of our suburb is out and we might get power in two or three hours. Madison flipped it, not cause of the dark but the blooming iPad wouldn't work so that got thrown at the wall. At least Aunty bek saved the day with macdonalds and gluten free pizza!! Once Madison got over the, no internet situation, she had fun blowing out the candles. Scarlett and J are having a fabulous time with reading stories with torches. At least there is homemade pavlova from scratch with coconut cream and strawberries, I'm pretty sure that might fix things ;)

22.01.2022 So proud of our girl!! The last day of year 10 and Jaimee has worked really hard so congratulations baby girl on all of your achievements. You deserve an extremely laid back kinda holiday now xxxx

19.01.2022 Amazing weekend for jaimee!! Lots of different workshops, panels and meeting writers. Jaimee was asked to be interviewed which was so cool and she loved it. She has even been asked to do a book review!! J loved the uni, loved the people and loved the festival. It was so worth the trip to celebrate my girl and this wonderful achievement. Madison held up fairly well. In saying that though it was meltdown city but with lots of unknowns it was unavoidable. We survived and No one ...was injured, haha! Except the little TV took a bit of a beating. Best thing was we found these 3 big teddy bears that were on the roof of a building, I swear we visited the building 10 times but it made Madison happy and yes, we got a lot of photos. Must say the Japanese gardens were amazing, even though we were freezing our butts off, really worth the visit. It was great to do meet and greets with professors and book signings with some really interesting people and watching jaimee work the floor with these people was very cool! See more

18.01.2022 Another Birthday celebration for J!! A few beautiful friends, lollies and ice cream in vintage tea cups, ummm and more lollies. Some serious sugar hangovers this morning, lots of fun, so worth the craziness of pink drink ;) xx

16.01.2022 First day back to riding for both girls after a break. Madison was lucky to have her favourite Spotty and J was on Lou. The new arena is a little bit awesome!! So good, Madison was great and was happy to be back, yay!!

15.01.2022 Massive congratulations to our beautiful girl Jaimee. We are in Melbourne to celebrate J. She was one of 7 teenagers across Australia to be selected for the Youth literature Inky Awards judging panel. The award ceremony was held at the state library of Victoria were Jaimee was able to present the award to the winning author of young adult genre. She had the day out with the 5 short listed Australian authors as well as 5 of her fellow judges, went for lunch, photo shoots, interviews for the abc, filming and then presenting at the state library, then making contacts with publishes, more authors and bloggers. Very proud of our girl, truly amazing life experience for her and an adventure to be remembered!! Did I say how proud we are!!! Such a cool kid

14.01.2022 Boo, getting ready for Halloween, no one was injured in this process, haha!! Yet

14.01.2022 Fun night out with my crazies at the night markets on Ocean Street! J's friend Rhianna was game enough to hang with us which was cool. Madison loved the drumming and the dancing girls ;) Such a awesome vibe, slinky potato, dancing girls in g-wizzers and heaps of amazing market stalls, Ad was so happy to make this family outing, hehe! I wonder why that was, hmmmm!

08.01.2022 Happy Birthday to our beautiful girl Madison. I can't believe she is 12 years old!! I'm sure I say something like that every birthday:) Miss M always likes a low key kinda birthday, so there is cup cakes with mum, jaimee and grandma Dianne and a big box full of surprises, a phone call from dad and a visit with auntie Bek and Scarlett. The biggest surprise of all was her own private puppet show with Julie from Bee Happy Puppets. Madison loves loves loves the puppets and we ha...ve re hired more times than I can remember Julie's DVD from the library so when she saw Julie sitting in our lounge room with all her furry friends she was beside herself. So excited and so much talking, it was amazing. It was so much fun watching Madison crazy excited and her happy levels off the charts!! Julie was wonderful and had some surprises for Madison too, a little baby tiger cub puppet that was quickly named Max and 2 copies of her DVD, just in case ;) We have a little trouble with actually calling it a birthday as Madison doesn't want to get old because then you die, apparently. So it was just Madison's big day and I still sang a really really fast happy birthday even if it wasnt very loud. Love our clever, brave and gorgeous girl, you are amazing Madison Ruby xxxx See more

08.01.2022 Gummi Bear incentive for 1000 word science essay 1 bear every 50 words. OMG, gone from, "I'm so over this" to "Oooh, I've done another 50". Why did I not think of this earlier, haha, so glad we have a house full of lollies ready for Halloween
