20.01.2022 "At the age of 21, I began to ache. I limped everywhere. I felt unwell constantly. I had issues with my sight. This was the beginning of the end in terms of my ...health. Eight months later, I was diagnosed with Crohns Disease. I am not unique. Like so many others in Australia, I live my day to day life with a chronic illness. Crohns is with me for life. Chronic illness means doctors, specialists, blood tests, medication, and therapies. All things, that as both a student and a young woman, I would struggle to afford without Medicare. As I build my life and become an adult, this is a barrier. Medicare was created by Labor to prevent those barriers. Medicare was created by Labor to protect those who need it the most. We need to do everything we can to protect Medicare from the Liberals. So I'm standing up and supporting those who will defend it every chance I get.
