19.01.2022 Hi everyone as we have quite a few new page likers, welcome to the page. I thought I had better introduce myself for those who don't already know who I am. My name is Kim James, I am married with 4 daughters and live locally in Byford. We have been here since 2011. After seeing many people struggling and actually asking for help last year, I decided that I would try and help as many families as possible and what a better time to help as it turned out it was close to Xmas. At ...the time alot of my friends and family jumped on board and donated what they could. We even had some donations from locals that didn't know me, who trusted that I would put their donations to good use. I felt that as it went so well we would go again this year. Here we are with 5 local families needing help and again, family and friends have donated, BUT this year we have also seen alot more locals offering to donate which is fantastic. Thankyou all for trusting that I will make sure your donations go to homes and families worthy of them. I couldn't do this without you all backing me and helping along the way, so a big huge thankyou to you all!!! See more

I will be starting to take donations of non perishable christmasy foods,drinks etc, cash (which will be used to buy hams and extra pieces to add to the hampers before I deliver), small gifts to add for children! I will also need largeish boxes and wrapping paper!!!!! Let me know if you are wanting to drop off! Love to you all!

17.01.2022 At this stage we now have 5 families. Unfortunately Until I start getting more donations coming in, I am having to put offering more hampers on hold. Just so I know that we will end up with enough food for everyone we already have listed. Thanks to everyone who has already donated and thanks to everyone else who has said they will be donating. 16.01.2022 Due to such an overwhelming response of donations for the hampers, we are now able to offer a hamper to another family in need. This family has 5 kids. 2 girls aged 9, 11 and 3 Boys 13, 17, 20. Thankyou so much again, to everyone involved.

14.01.2022 Hi everyone, it's that time of year again! Last year was our first year doing this and we made 7 hampers for local families. From now until the 20th of December we will be collecting any donations you have to help with xmas hampers. If any of you know of someone in the local SJ Shire struggling and would like to put their name forward for a hamper, we will do our best to cater for them. 13.01.2022 Hi everyone, just a quick update.. people are asking where to drop donations. - drop off is at my house or I can arrange pick up. Just ask for address. Next week I will also have a drop off point at a local Byford business if that makes things easier for you. I will put details for where this can be done next week. To those who have already donated thankyou so much. If anyone of you know families in our local shire doing it tough, let me know. I'm sure we can all brighten up their xmas. xx

13.01.2022 We now have a local business drop off point for anyone that would like to donate anything. You can now drop off to Stuck up Stickers on Southwest Hwy Byford (near HBS mechanics ) between 10am-4pm Tuesday-Thursday. Just if you are planning on dropping off, let me know so I have an idea if I need to collect etc... I am still taking donations at my house and am able to pick up if needed, just inbox me. 11.01.2022 Last a week a friend of mine donated some money to this cause. Yesterday my husband recieved some more money from a man he works with. I would just like to say a BIG thanks to both of you, because of you we can now purchase the fresh fruit n vegies and meat that I was hoping to be able to purchase again this year. It amazes me how generous people are!! (We couldn't of had the fresh produce last year without special people who also donated money x)

08.01.2022 The other day a lady asked if I could help her friend. At the time I didn't know how much we would actually have left over, if any. I'm happy to say we were able to put together a small hamper for this lady. I hope this helps her this xmas. xx This makes number 8!

08.01.2022 Here is an update of some of the goodies we have recieved. Still more to collect. But from seeing what is here, we are going to make some families very happy for Xmas. Everyone will have food and a small gift at the least. Thankyou to all who have donated so far, without you we couldn't give to the families at all.

07.01.2022 Okay we now have family number 4. Kids are boys aged 12, 10 and 6. I don't usually do this but this family has contacted me and are doing it really tough atm. They are actually struggling to feed the family right now. This also is a person who helps out in our community alot. Has anyone else got any food ASAP to help this particular family get by NOW??? I have sent this person in the direction of other help suggested on a post I have previously posted, but I have also said I would raid my freezer and cupboards to see what I have. 06.01.2022 Today I got bread and meats. I also delivered one lot of hampers to one extremely grateful family. From the family to the community "thank you so much". Tomorrow i get all the fruit and veg delivered and will be delivering the remaining hampers. I have a few tears streaming down my face thinking about the ladies face today when I opened my boot and she saw what we were able to give to them.

This page has been set up to help struggling families at Xmas, but I have just come across a helpful post on a local fb page so thought I would share. If you know of any local families that are struggling or doing it tough please point them in the direction of the Byford Baptist Church. They offer this weekly service on a Thursday. What a great idea!

01.01.2022 Just an update for you all! We now have 7 families!!! I have recieved the last family this morning. A mum and her 3 kiddies. With all of your generous donations we were able to make this happen. So a BIG, BIG THANKYOU TO ALL OF YOU!!
