The area now co...vers 70km either side of the border (with the distance measured "as the crow flies" - see image) Those who ordinarily reside within the corridor who have a permitted purpose to travel across the border are not required to submit to the COVID-19 testing requirements. Cross Border Call Out will be speaking with Premier Steven Marshall today to discuss a range of issues facing Cross Border Community Members - have your say here: https://www.facebook.com/crossbordercallout/posts/497624291674765

09.01.2022 PREVIOUS AWARD WINNER SHOUT OUT! In 2018, the Silviculture Excellence Award Award was won by A & M Contracting. Do you know an outstanding individual in the... timber industry? You need to nominate them - visit www.gttia.com Its not too late to nominate, we have extended the nomination date until Friday August 30th.

08.01.2022 Last Friday will go down in history as it marked the introduction of the inaugural Green Triangle Timber Industry Awards across South Australia and Victoria! Ho...sted by the hilarious Tommy Little it was a night celebrating and rewarding individuals and companies involved in the timber industry for their dedication, hard work and best practices in their various roles and businesses. The awards encompass all sectors of the industry from nursery to silviculture, harvesting, haulage, logistics and processing and everything in between as it is important that we recognise everyone that contributes to the industry success. Did you know - The Green Triangle is home to Australias largest collective plantation and timber processing industry, contributing significantly to Victoria & South Australia, generating more than $778 million Gross Regional Product annually? In excess of 355,000 hectares of softwood and hardwood plantations produce timber for local manufacturing, national and export markets. The industry underpins some 8500 regional jobs and provides a valuable tool for businesses and investors. A huge congratulations to the committee and everyone involved in bringing this event to life. I am already looking forward to next year!

06.01.2022 Reminder: Total Fire Bans have been declared for Thursday 11 February 2021 in the following Fire Ban Districts: Eastern Eyre Peninsula - Severe Lower Eyre Penin...sula - Severe Mid North - Severe Mount Lofty Ranges - Severe Yorke Peninsula - Severe Lower South East - Severe Where Total Fire Bans have been declared, very hazardous fire weather conditions are predicted. The Total Fire Ban will apply for 24 hours from midnight to midnight. The CFS recommends that you implement your Bushfire Survival Plan. FIRE DANGER RATING Where fire ban districts have a forecast fire danger rating of Severe, well prepared and actively defended houses can offer safety during a fire. If you don't have a plan to ensure your survival, leaving early before a fire starts is your safest option. In making your plan, you should be aware that in high fire danger conditions, essential services including mains-fed electricity and water supply may not be available due to the prevailing weather conditions. Landowners are asked to adhere to local harvest codes of practice which are available from your local council. Agencies are advised to activate their Total Fire Ban procedures in preparation for these predicted fire weather conditions.
