If you booked a table, please pop in and collect your items before Friday afternoon as we have a large event on this weekend and cannot store excess boxes. If you cant get someone to collect in business hours, please call to make an evening appointment however we must ask that you collect before the weekend. Gift vouchers to the value of your total sales will be ready in the next few days and will be available in store as soon as we have finished tallying all your tickets and double checking everything. 20.01.2022 Many of you know that I have been raising funds for the Bushfire Appeal as well as ongoing donations of material that is used for making pouches for the wildlife and collecting pre loved towels and sheets for the unsung heroes called wildlife carers (who are all volunteers) who always need these items. I have a passion for fundraising and this is such a wonderful cause protecting what we must treasure - our threatened wildlife. The monies you contribute for the cans of Coke a...nd bottles of water at the shop go towards my chosen not for profit charity Two Thumbs Wildlife Trust Sanctuary. I am very aware that extra monies are donated to the plastic container on the counter and I am so so grateful. For July and August the total raised: $94.35 - fantastic. So far this year we have raised $460.00 a massive thank you!! James Fitzgerald is the trustee of Two Thumbs Wildlife Trust, a trio of koala sanctuaries and a rehabilitation centre 2 hours south of Canberra in NSWs sub-alpine region. James started Two Thumbs Wildlife Trust to ensure that the sanctuaries remain safe for wildlife, provide enclosures and other facilities for wildlife rehabilitation, and as a base for scientific research. James has received a $5000 grant to help rebuild his animal sanctuary after it was destroyed in the summer bushfires. James lost his home and 16-years of work when the Good Good Fire tore through his Two Thumbs Wildlife Sanctuary at Peak View. The $5,000 bushfire recovery grant will help James rebuild his sanctuary. One of the koalas being cared for at the sanctuary is Paul. Paul is named in honour of First Officer Paul Hudson who died when the Hercules C-130 air tanker crashed after dropping fire retardant on James property. James has also named two rescued koalas in recognition of firefighters Captain Ian McBeth and Flight Engineer Rick DeMorgan who were killed in the crash. Kindest regards, Karenina
