25.01.2022 I so appreciate this Netflix film. The passion and commitment of Alexandria Ocasio Cortez and the other remarkable women featured inspires me to do better. The thing I love most about being a coach is supporting the self-actualisation of strong women, ready to harness their personal power and take their place as change-makers in the world, however that may look.

23.01.2022 Great to work with Chris Pickard at Open Doors Youth Service this week, where I'm facilitating workshops to support team reconnection and development, following COVID. The Open Doors Team does awesome work supporting LGBTIQ+ and questioning young people, experiencing vulnerability and risk.

17.01.2022 I first met Ayik when he joined me in the final kilometres of a 24-hour marathon I undertook, in support of refugees and asylum seekers, in 2014. In 2017 he won... admiration for his courageous participation in the SBS documentary, Look Me in the Eyes. Today I finished reading Ayik's autobiography, The Lost Boy, where he gives voice to the pain and struggle of so many displaced children and young people around the world, living with the aftermath of trauma and torture. Thank you for your honesty and humility, Ayik. Whilst I can never understand what you have experienced, I feel I know you - and the plight of so many who fled the war in Sudan - a little better through the brave telling of your story. Ayik's book is published by Penguin and is widely available. I urge everyone to read it.

16.01.2022 One of the most useful things men can do to support women is to simply get out of their way. This means taking a good look at our own stuff, including the cultural and historical messages that have informed our understandings of what it means to be male. www.asinglestep.com.au

15.01.2022 At the end of a challenging week, it is the simple things - like the harvesting these tomatoes from our veggie garden - that restore my connection to gratitude and abundance.

10.01.2022 It's fair to say that facilitating training from a function room at the Gabba yesterday is the closest I will ever come to a game of cricket!

10.01.2022 Tomorrow is International Nelson Mandela Day and I reflect on how much I have learnt about humility, resilience, truth and freedom from the words and actions of this great human being. What does Mandela mean to you?

06.01.2022 OUR RELATIONSHIPS DON’T NEED TO BE FIXED THEY JUST NEED TO BE UNDERSTOOD I spent years, in my 20s, experiencing relationship conflict as a torturous battleground where I struggled to defend my stories about what a relationship should be and the part my partner should play in that story. And he did the same. Neither of us won and we ended up feeling just a little more crap that we did before each argument. It’s amazing how much energy I have for my primary relationship today..., now that I’m not wading through the murky sludge of toxic conflict. My husband and I are different in many ways and I love our differences, because they lead us to places that we might never have gone, had we always seen the world through the same lens. Our relationships don’t need to be fixed. They just need to be understood. The problem is seldom you or they, but your unexamined stories, battling against one another. And sometimes things get so tangled and saturated in pain and hurt that we just don’t have the emotional fortitude to remain open to one another. That’s when we need to go back to basics and begin rebuilding the words and actions that lead us back into true relationship with one another again. I’d love you to join my free lunchtime Zoom session on Friday, where I will share my 9 Rs of communicating through difference. I’ll pop the link in the comments. Hope to see some of your there See more

03.01.2022 Wear-it-Purple Day is about saying to young people of diverse genders and sexualities (and by association, any young person who feels they don't belong) that they are loved, they are wanted, and things will get better.

03.01.2022 It's up to all of us to ensure that this important movement does not disappear from the 24-hour news-cycle, as it jostles for position, alongside COVID and the latest political scandal. www.asinglestep.com.au #blacklivesmatter #asinglestepcoaching #asinglesteptraining #socialprivalege

03.01.2022 Every day, with our words and actions, we can choose to support and affirm women and girls. #whiteribbon #asinglesteptraining #asinglestepcoaching

01.01.2022 I'm proud to be supporting Greens candidate, Victor Huml, in his bid to win Greenslopes in the October state election. It was truly invigorating to reconnect with Victor and team members, Kara and Courtney, this weekend, to discuss the campaign. #victorforgreenslopes #Greenslopes2020 #asinglestep
