21.01.2022 Simple Swap - Mouthwash 1. Reuse a clean jar 2. Small amount of pink Himalayan salt 3. Add 5 drops Peppermint (or Myrrh, or OnGuard) to the salt... 4. 1/4 cup warm (not hot) water 5. Stir in salt/oils 6. Add 1 cup filtered or boiled & cooled water 7. Stir or swish to mix 8. Gently shake before use, tip a small amount into a cup (to avoid backwash into your jar ), then swish around your mouth & spit out Don't DIY? 11.01.2022 Within the first little while of getting my oils, the one that captured my heart was Balance, our Grounding Blend. 11.01.2022 Around this time of year, when the seasons are changing, the blossoms are blooming, and we are spending more time outdoors, I have tended to have a but of an irritated nose and eyes. We tend to have a few more skin irritations too. Here are my go-to oils for these situations. The combination of Lavender, Lemon and Peppermint is soothing, calming and cleansing for my skin and body systems. I like to use this blend over skin irritations or in big circles around my eyes (not ...too close)... like giving myself an oily super hero mask outline! Message me if you need help with dilution ratios - my roller is a different ratio to the one for my kids. My other go-to is Manuka. I have this powerful oil in the Touch roller and use it the same way as above. It's so good!! 01.01.2022 As mums we often wear many hats. Hands up if one of those hats you wear is 'household nurse'? Yep, me too. It used to actually frustrate me a little, when I felt responsible as the 'healer' in my home, but was uncertain which way to go with this little niggle or that one, and the advice I sometimes sought didn't always sit well with me. One of the greatest gifts that doTERRA has given me is more confidence in my own intuition and the ability to reach for something that ...helps and works for us. I truly believe that various models of healthcare have their place. When I can feel confident in what I can offer my family at home, with my oils, and then reach beyond them to other modalities as needed, it is truly empowering. Let me give you an example. A few days ago, Ned was complaining of a sore tummy and discomfort when doing a wee. I reached for Rescuer from the kids collection to help soothe him with the beautiful ingredients that has and because he likes to roll the oils on himself. When I realised we would need a more targeted approach, knowing what I have learned and leaning on my resources, I began massaging a drop or two of Copaiba diluted in fractionated coconut oil into his belly, lower back and feet each nappy change. We also leaned on one dose of a pharmaceutical option that first night, and ensured he drank more water each day. With consistent application of the diluted Copaiba, over a couple of days Ned's discomfort settled and eased and he has not mentioned it since. I am so very grateful for having these natural solutions at my fingertips, and I have never felt more confident or capable of caring for my family both physically and emotionally What sort of things do you reach for when your family needs everyday support?
