24.01.2022 + 65.8rwkw + 300rwnm. up 104% at 2200rpm We had this 79 series in for some upgrades, twin fans for the intercooler, Manta exhaust, Clutch Industries 4T Ultimate clutch, a catch can and a custom tune. This 79 Series really came alive, I actually turned it down a little, it went 174rwkw on the first run, but the owner wasnt looking for a race car. After a number of runs on the dyno getting the tune where we wanted it, it was ready to go home, the owner called as soon as he got home to saying, I should have done this years ago.

23.01.2022 #### How accurate are dynos? #### Well we see alot of power and torque readings that appear to be way higher than they should be. There can be alot of variables that come into this, including the way the vehicle is strapped, the set up in the computer by the operator and even the brand of dyno. The dynos reading high torque numbers generally dont have a stock run on the dyno sheet, because it is putting out more torque at the back wheels than the manufacturer says it has ...at the crank. Bearing in mind you loose up to 20% between the crank and the wheels on cars, and up to 30% on 4wds, larger over sized tyres can also make a bigger difference than 30%. We often see high torque reading vehicles like this make up to 200rwnm less torque on our dyno than they have on their dyno sheet from other shops. Turbo diesels are a classic example, but we see it in V8s as well. All we can say about our dynos stock power and torque numbers always seem right. Take for example the dyno sheet above for a 60km old VF SV6. The dyno can convert to flywheel power and torque, a VF SV6 according to Holden has 210kw and 350nm at the engine, before the mods started this car recorded 206.6kw and 360nm. Pretty close to the mark .
23.01.2022 A very low km VF SS 6L in for a full X Force exhaust, a Harrop OTR and a tune. A package like this really wakes these V8s up, making them sound like a V8 without going over the top.
23.01.2022 A cam upgrade, OTR and extractors on this VE wagon recently gained 73rwkw.
23.01.2022 We had this 2016 RG Colorado in for a tune, it arrived with 110rwkw and 358rwnm, after some custom tuning a few dyno runs and a bit more tuning, we were happy with the result at 133rwkw and 460rwnm. Good gains in power and torque with great throttle response.
23.01.2022 A couple of Toyota autos in both 2.8L Turbo diesels, a Hilux and the wagon version a Fortuna. Good gains in response power and torque.
22.01.2022 Another 200 series in for a transmission lock up kit, these lock up kits make a big difference to how a 20p series gearbox hold 5th and 6th gear.
22.01.2022 301.3rwkw (Dyno video in comnents) 2019 Camaro SS Auto in for some upgrades, new HPC coated headers and a full header back polished stainless exhaust, with a hi flow air intake, finished off with a tune. About an hour after the owner collected his car he was back, he wanted to personally tell us how great the exhaust note is and how much better the Camaro drives. Makes all the long hours worthwhile.

20.01.2022 300.4rwkw We had this 2008 auto VE Wagon in for a cam and lifter upgrade. The customer was after a cam that sounded tough but drove nice in an auto. We use a large variety of different cams, and this one delivered exactly what the owner was chasing.
19.01.2022 477rwkw We fitted a Harrop FDFI 2300 to this cammed VF II Redline auto. It is running relatively low boost but making good power with a very flat torque curve. Dyno sheet in the comments.
19.01.2022 We had this cammed and tuned VE SS in for a tune the female owner was complaining of poor manners and bad idle, the old dyno sheet showed 448rwhp, we put it on the dyno, the base line run was 414rwhp, 34rwhp had vanished, we retuned it making an extra 20rwhp maxing at 434rwhp. A fair amount of driving around and we went it home driving quite nicely.
18.01.2022 293rwkw We had this VU SS Fifty ute in for a cam and lifter upgrade. It arrived with a full exhaust and a Mafless tune, which wasnt really on what it should have been, only making 198rwkw and 379rwnm. We fitted the cam and lifter upgrade and tuned the ECU to suit making 293rwkw and 494rwnm, good gains.
17.01.2022 We get asked alot about plug on diesel chips, we don't like them and we don't use them, we remap your ECU for a very good reason, we can accurately adjust everything we need to, to get a safe reliable result. The attached photo's are of a very, very expensive after market ECU/Chip which is talked up by the manufacturer. The owner of the vehicle this was fitted fitted to a 2016 Hilux, was unhappy with his fuel economy. He wanted it checked on the dyno chip attached and unplugg...ed, what we found was a chip running the engine dangerously rich (over fuelled) to gain some extra power, although it also attaches to the boost sensor, it was making very little difference to the actual boost. If this vehicle had not been fitted with a DPF it would have had a thick black smoke screen coming out the rear. I left it unplugged. Chips are good with fish, not your engine. See more
17.01.2022 A 2020 Hilux 2.8L tuned properly, good power and torque gains, should make this one get up and go, without the need to over fuel the engine.
17.01.2022 The dyno sheet here shows why you shouldnt put an OTR on a VE or VF V6 without a tune. They run badly and they loose alot of power until they get tuned. I would estimate this VE SV6 ute was down about 40rwkw with the OTR on un tuned. Of course a tune not only adds power and torque but also quite alot of throttle response on the V6.

14.01.2022 We have had a few cam and lifter jobs in lately, it is worth changing the oil in an Ls engine more frequently to help prevent these issues. This lifter was from a VF II Ls3 wagon the owner wanted to stay stock, no problem, upgraded lifters stock cam etc.
14.01.2022 We had this Caprice in for a Manta catback exhaust, Harrop OTR and a tune, the owner was looking for a nice cruiser with a good exhaust note. We may see him back for extractors and cats which will give some extra power.

11.01.2022 A nice VF SS we had in recently for a tune and Harrop OTR. I know we got good gains on this one but in my haste to get onto the next job I forgot to get a pic of the dyno sheet.
09.01.2022 + 45rwkw + 200rwnm We had this V8 79 Series in for a tune, Clutch Industries 4 Terrain clutch, a Manta exhaust and snorkel head. Now it will tow the caravan as it should, with up to 70% more torque.

08.01.2022 A 2017 Hilux Manual we had a few weeks back, we fitted a catch can and did a tune. The owner does alot of km and regularly tows over the mountain. We made some good lower and torque gains, the owner reports the torque when towing is substantially better with good gains in economy.
07.01.2022 A 2007 79 Series Landcruiser in for a clutch Industries clutch and a new snorkel head and a tune. It had a rail pressure chip fitted, we ran it on the dyno with the chip, then standard, before we tuned it making some good gains. We also tuned this customers 200 Series and currently have his Maloo in the shop.
07.01.2022 ## Another VE SS lifter failure ## We fitted a new cam kit, lifter, oil pump, timing chain, extractors and cats with a Harrop OTR. Now it has a nice note and a quite engine.
07.01.2022 VF SV6 + 18.5rwkw + 35rwnm... We will be doing some development on this VF SV6 Auto, this first stage includes a VCM OTR, X Force cat pipes and Varex rear mufflers. More to follow when time allows.

07.01.2022 421.5rwkw Thats what you get when you put a Harrop FDFI2650 on a stock 2018 5L Auto Mustang, even the exhaust is stock. This car is very nice to drive, great power with good manners. Love the Shelby GT500 body kit and the brake upgrade.
