25.01.2022 At 6.05pm today Sunday 27th September, George the upholsterer finally clocked out of work and can now rest in peace. We are truley going to miss him

20.01.2022 So this year has been a terrible year for our Family, both my parents have been in and out of hospital and sometimes are in at the same time. George passed away 3 weeks ago and ever since then our lives have been nothing but a mess and yesterday was the low blow when the landlord of Dads shop decided he would change the locks and keep all our stuff and hold my Mum at ransom who is in hospital fighting for her life to pay $7000 to release everything so she can sell it to make ...some money as Dad was the one bringing in the money. We still have yet to pay for the funeral too which will be on Monday. My mum is in pieces, her whole life is a mess and she is losing everything and I feel so broken for her. I am doing everything I can to help her. My aunt set up a GoFundMe page and all funds will be going to help my mum. I would appreciate any donations, but no pressure x Please read the full messy story in the profile, because what I have said here is only a taste of what we have been through :(

17.01.2022 Today we lay to rest our beloved George Dixon. The world is missing a great man. Please light a candle in honour of my father. Gone but never forgotten.

17.01.2022 Dear Customers, George the upholsterer (my Dad) was diagnosed with cancer in January but was doing well until recently. This week he has been falling over and went into emergency yeaterday and we have found out his cancer has spread to his brain and he has a tumor. He will be having surgery on Wednesday and we would appreciate your love, support and prayers xx Any customers affected we will contact you soon.

05.01.2022 It is with deepest sadness to say this, my father George the upholsterer is losing his battle with cancer. He is now in hospice being cared for and made comfortable. Unfortunetly his wife Christine is also in hospital so it has been extremley hard for the family. We have made the decision to close the business down, we just cant keep it going without George doing his magic and my mother is too unwell to keep the business going. At the moment, we will be silent on the socials ...and the phones so please be patient during this time. Dad loved his customers and I know he loved what he did, it was a passion of his. Please send us photos of your lounges, we would love to see the magic he has done for you and would love to hear your memories of my father. He was a selfless man who did so much and gave much more. He is so loved and will be missed so much, he is an amazing man who I am proud to have as my father. We will let you know when dad finally clocks out for the final time with his business. Thank you for supporting my parents and trusting in my dads service.

02.01.2022 It has been 2 weeks since my father the upholsterer went into hospital and he is still there hopefully discharged this week. On Thursday last week he had brain surgery and is recovering well and will be starting chemo within a few weeks. He still has a long way to go before getting back into the swings of things at work if he does decide to come back so we ask for your patience during this time while he recovers and goes through this treatment. This is a family run small business that started in the backyard in Magill over around 40 years ago, here is a photo of my father with his eldest daughter who passed 5 years ago getting the backyard and shed ready to start this new venture.
