25.01.2022 I wish to thank my wonderful customers, suppliers of outstanding quality products, manufacturers and transport companies who have been so supportive through my first year in retail business with A1 Stanthorpe floorcoverings. It has probably .... no .....definately been the most stupid year to expand into something new.... but here we are. I will have the shop closed from today Friday 18th December until Tuesday 5th January to catch up on some installs then take a much neede...d break to regroup for the new year and spend time with my kids. Thankyou also to everyone for the ongoing support of A1 carpet cleaning....it is very much appreciated. 19.01.2022 Well it's been another big week of installing at A1 Floorcoverings. I am gradually chewing through the backlog. This week there were vinyl planks, commercial vinyl, carpet and carpet tiles installed. 12.01.2022 Well it's almost time to get back to work. I have extended the break by a couple of days after a short trip away. 9.00 thursday morning we will swing the doors open. I would like to welcome Kylie Jones as my new shop assistant and am sure she will make your choice of flooring a happy and rewarding experience.

08.01.2022 Bluecare do a great job at having their units renovated between tennants. A1 floorcoverings suppied all of the wall and floor tiles for the wet areas, and I have just (with some guidance from a talented veteran of the industry John Tomkins) completed the install of all new carpet and vinyl planks. The carpet is a lovely Australian made "Advantage" twist pile and the vinyl planks are a stunning 5mm "Kenbrock" plank. We complete our part of the renovation this week when we install all new blinds throughout.

07.01.2022 Bit of an interesting(to say the least) job which I took on. A shed slab which was a disaster. The concrete went off before it could be finished, leaving horrendous peaks and troughs. Using some top quality floor fillers and finishing products which we stock at A1 floorcoverings, I have managed, after plenty of sanding and grinding as well, to recover this slab to the point where it can have sheet vinyl installed. Previously this would have been impossible considering the state of the slab. The slab had fillers used up to 25mm deep in places, proving that by using the correct products and procedures, almost anything is possible. 04.01.2022 This week I fitted out another Bluecare unit with flooring and blinds. The vinyl planks are a stunning Kenbrock 5mm cushionwood plank. The carpet is a luxurious Advantage twist pile and the blinds, both vertical and chain rollers are custom made by Hartlends blinds. We also suppliied all tiles for the kitchen splashback, bathroom walls and bathroom, laundry and toilet floors.
