13.01.2022 Reconciliation Week 2020. This years theme, "In this together" was amazingly announced last year, well before we could have imagined #inthistogether could possibly be the catch cry of the nation for 2020. So we guess this rings true to us all as Australians that through working together as a team and moving forward as a nation is indeed a community collaboration. ... Our mission, to put the UNITY back into community, reflects the central dimension of Reconciliation Australia's vision. "An Australian society that values and recognises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and heritage as a proud part of a shared identity." - Reconciliation Australia

04.01.2022 National Sorry Day. On the 26th of May 1997 the landmark Bringing them Home report was tabled in federal parliament. Bringing them Home is the final report of the National Inquiry into the Separation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children from Their Families and was conducted by the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission (now called the Australian Human Rights Commission) between 1995 and 1997. On 26 May 1998, the first National Sorry Day was held to commemorate the anniversary of the report and remember the grief, suffering and injustice experienced by the stolen generations.

03.01.2022 The date for NAIDOC WEEK for 2020 has been moved to the 8th-15th November. At A2B we believe our culture should be celebrated every day, so feel free to acknowledge our history this week and every week by learning something new about our culture, supporting Indigenous business and artists and engaging our people in equal opportunities within our community. #naidoc2020 #culture #history #celebrate #learn #teach #aboriginal #torresstraitislander #equalopportunities #diversity #community
