25.01.2022 The Uterus in Chinese medicine: The lower Dan Tian (the room of elixir) is located below the navel on the lower abdomen. It contains the room of Essence, whic...h holds both the female reproductive organs (Zi Bao) and the male ones (Bao Jing). The Uterus in TCM includes the physical organ, but also the cervix, fallopian tubes, ovaries and the entire female reproductive system. The Uterus regulates menstruation, conception and pregnancy. It stores Blood for menses, and the fetus during pregnancy. It discharges Blood during menses and assist in pushing the baby outpouring childbirth. The menstruation cycle is an ebb and flow of Yin and Yang. The first half of the cycle there is an increase of Yin and Blood, and the second half there is an increase of Qi and Yang. The Uterus depends on the TCM Kidneys and the Extraordinary Vessels to supply Essence. The Kidneys are the origin of menses blood. The Ren & Chong Vessels are closely related to the Uterus. The Ren provides Essence and the Chong provides Blood. The Du Vessel bring Yang to the Uterus for ovulation and releasing of the egg. The TCM Heart also connects to the Uterus via the Uterus Vessel. It brings blood flow to the Uterus for good flowing menstruation, and emotional stability during the reproductive phase. If there’s long standing emotional stress, the Heart becomes deficient and amenorrhea, or menorrhagia can occur. The TCM Spleen holds the blood within the blood vessels to prevent hemorrhage, and produces Blood assisting Kidneys. The TCM Liver stores Blood for menstruation. The TCM Stomach (via the Chong Vessel) turns menses blood into milk for breast feeding. Want more? 19.01.2022 When it comes to bone fractures, there are many acupuncture points (local and distal) that can be used as part of a treatment protocol, but the following are al...ways a must for a faster healing process. #AcupunctureRocks - BL 11: Influential point of Bones - BL 17: Influential point of Blood - GB 39, Influential point of Marrow - GB 34: Influential point of Sinews - SP 21: Major Luo connecting point to all muscle regions - ST 36: Tonifies Qi & Blood for faster healing - LI 4: Best point to move blood & relieve pain TCM view on Bone Fracture: the body is a whole with all parts as an integrated organism, so when a fracture occurs the whole body is affected. The Meridian initially, then the flow of Qi & blood, then muscle, sinews, skin and eventually organs. So in treating a patient with fractures, the practitioner needs to take in consideration all aspects of the body.

17.01.2022 A big part of TCM Diagnosis is based on observation. And colours of the body play a huge role in determining whats going on with the patient. - RED: HEAT (Exce...ss or deficiency). Red face is due to Excess Heat, but red cheeks are due to Yin deficiency. Red nose is due to excess heat in the Lung. - YELLOW: DAMPNESS (Excess pattern). Yellow palms are due to excess dampness. Yellow nasal discharge: damp-heat because usually there is an infection, and heat will show as well. - PURPLE: BLOOD STASIS (Excess pattern). Purple lips is due to Stomach blood stasis. Purple clots in the menstruation blood is due to LV Blood stasis. - BLUE: COLD (Excess pattern). Excess cold always congeals and impairs blood circulation creating pain! Cold blue fingers are often due to Blood stasis & Excess cold in the channels. - PALE: QI, BLOOD or YANG deficiency. Pale Nails are due to LV Blood deficiency. Pale lips are a Sp Qi deficiency issue. Pale & Puffy face is often due a Yang Deficiency. - BLACK/GREY: not as common but usually relates to TCM Kidneys issues. Black circles under the eyes are due to a KD deficiency. See more

16.01.2022 The 4 Vital Substances and the Zang-Fu Organs relationship in TCM! Blood: Spleen produces Blood, Liver stores Blood and Heart moves Blood. These 3 organs rela...tionship with Blood is very important. Therefore when one organ is Blood deficient, the others will probably will be as well. If there is HT Blood stasis, then LV blood stasis is there too. Qi: Spleen raise Qi, Heart Qi controls speech & sweat, and Lung Qi controls respiration and Wei (Defensive) Qi. These 3 organs are the most common ones to be affected by Qi deficiency. Body Fluids: Spleen prevents water retention (ST gets affected by dryness), Lung regulates water, and Kidneys govern water. If there is excess dampness, these 3 organs would be affected first. Essence: Long standing stress affect Liver contributing to fast aging therefore depleting Essence. A poor diet depletes Spleen & Stomach contributing to aging. The Kidneys store Essence and relate to constitution therefore the aging system.
