23.01.2022 Just a quick public notice Over the last couple of weeks. We have been getting customers coming in with A/C problems. They have had there A/C system regassed by a mobile repairer. Most of the time its by a person they found on facebook marketplace.... These "repairers" offer you a cheap A/C regas as low as $70, They come to your house and fill your a/c system with a unknown refrigerant. It works for a couple of days and then stops getting cold. These "repairers" don't check the system correctly and block calls after the job is completed. Leaving you out of pocket, hot and bothered. We offer an A/C service (not a Regas) This includes: System Check - The correct operation of the compressor, radiator and condenser fans, vent controls, interior blower fan and the A/C thermostat. Pressure Test -This checks the condition of the pipes, seals and charge port valves. Vacuum Test - This insures the seals are working correctly in all conditions. Repairs - We replace any leaking seals, valves, worn parts, flush the system and even a cabin filter which many times goes unnoticed on newer cars. A/C Recharge - The A/C system is filled with R134A to the correct amount, as well as a UV dye added to the system to help location possible future issues, Saving you time and money. System Test - We retest all the items in the system check to confirm the system is ready for the hot days to come. As well as using a anti bacteria spray to help eliminate any harmful bugs or smells coming from behind the dash. This notice wasn't to made to trick you into bringing your vehicle to me. It was placed here to help educate you as the customer, so you can see if the "cheap regas" is too good to be true, as we have heard so many people wonder why we charge more than other services in the area. Also I never thought I'd have to actually tell people this, but if you have damaged your A/C system, and it is then open to the atmosphere your system will be contaminated and require flushing or you will experience a very expensive repair bill when one of those gas cowboys charges your system without any prep. Definitely do not recommend river crossings or 4WDing in general if your A/C system is open.

20.01.2022 So, more learning today! This time roadworthy certificates... If you have your vehicle, trailer, etc. roadworthied and it doesn't pass for one or more reasons, it does not mean you don't have to pay. You must pay for your first inspection upfront regardless of outcome. We will detail to you what needs to be rectified to meet the code of practice, which is the minimum standards and safety requirements to pass. ... If you ask we will give you a price on us doing the repairs or you are also welcome to perform the repairs yourself. If you make your vehicle/trailer compliant within the 14 day period you are entitled to a reinspection and RWC free of charge as you paid the first time on the fail. It is not acceptable to have someone else perform a roadworthy on another day and then come back and demand a refund if they saw it fit to pass it first go. And if we try to explain to you the reasons of failure, and the measurement used, don't argue. It doesn't help your case. We are paid to ensure your equipment is safe and compliant and that's what we'll do. So if that results in you cracking it, being unreasonable and saying things that we hear all too often in the trade like "I'll tell others" or "You'll never see another dollar from me" or "I'll leave you a negative review" then so be it, don't let the door hit you on the way out, and please don't be back, I don't want clients like you anyway. This isn't fast food where the customer is always right, our job is maintaining your vehicles and equipment, and keeping them in safe working order, whether you understand how that happens or not. 12.01.2022 You asked for it, so we delivered, our own little mobile ute, available for mobile ac, mobile roadworthies, break downs and mobile electrical work. We have our own little mobile eftpos terminal in the vehicle also. We got this loaders ac sorted yesterday, cycling at a frosty 5.7 degrees out of the vents now, making the operators job a breeze! 11.01.2022 Tune up report! Thanks to Buck Carmen for supporting local, after the last few months of awaiting parts, another build has come to a conclusion. This truly is a showcase build for the Gympie region. A massive shout out to the ever meticulous Chris over at Mister V8 for machining and assembly work on this job. You really went the extra mile and delivered a fantastic build, with some really fine hidden details in the build. This barra build was done with some of the highest q...uality parts available. Spool conrods Nitto pistons Kelford Cams and springs Atomic billet oil pump Atomic crank girdle Mister V8 ported and flowed cylinder head Aeroflow turbo and vbands to suit. After a very quick run in period! (Can't half tell you were keen Buck) clocked 1000kms in a week. She was at the dyno for a tune. 760rwhp on a power run but started to lean out So 685rwhp on a safe tune, and capable of so much more with more fuel system upgrades to come. Thank you guys for your support and keeping local people employed in times like these it really means a lot. And it's great to see the results of such a build and be apart of the Gympie car community. 07.01.2022 The latest little project out of the shop, will.admit this was one of those cars you get from time to time that is hell bent on testing you. But just finished a fair few repairs over the car to bring her up to speed and a whole new top end with mls gasket, arp head studs, ferrea valves/retainers, tomei cams and cam gears. She sounds nice at idle with a slight lump. Thanks for the opportunity Stopher Rehpots glad to see you enjoying her! 06.01.2022 A not so common repair for our area, but an important one especially with the immediate future of our vehicles around the bend. We had the pleasure of having a Toyota Prius in last week presenting issues with the hybrid system, after some diagnosis it was found to have a faulty inverter coolant pump. Overnight parts from Toyota, saw this thing back on the road in a jiffy. The owner was very happy with the speed of the diagnosis and repair, and after nearly 300,000kms of faithful service this hybrid vehicle was probably due for a bit of love. #toyota #toyotahybrid #autoelectrician
