Apsara, the traditional Cambodian dance uses specific hand movements to tell a story, is the inspiration for this small elegant ceramic hand dish. 04.01.2022 Our donation gift wrap service has changed. It will now go towards supporting Free Her; an ongoing fundraiser with money to be used to release Aboriginal women from prison or pay for outstanding warrants for not having the capacity to pay for a fine! A majority of the women are single mothers. As a new mother and co-owner of a very small business it is easy to feel insignificant, but tiny steps towards change is a start and an ongoing one of learning and doing better. We are... committed to further support this as our business continues to grow and evolve. As a small online business, we have the power to support a more diverse range of art and wares, use more BIPOC in our photoshoots/campaigns and use our social media platforms to leverage BIPOC creatives and businesses. There’s a lot of learning to do and opportunity within our space. As an individual, an Asian-Australian and mother I can raise and educate my daughter, continue to have productive conversations about the racial inequality of our BIPOC community, and have the courage to challenge casual and covert racism when it rears its head.

02.01.2022 I did an interview with the wonderful girls, Olivia and Rebecca from @nonormalgirls_ . They have a new virtual space at @reallifejournal_ where they feature conversations with women in business across all sorts of industries. While I answered questions as best as I could from my experience running Aacute, they were able to really bring my answers to life with super clever copywriting! During the interview I discuss always putting customer service at the forefront of my business, no genuine customer email or DM goes unanswered, whether its a compliment, an issue or feedback. For customers and followers who have been with Aacute from the beginning or who have just recently became acquainted with the brand, I see you and appreciate you!
