21.01.2022 Hello Everyone, the Armidale Aboriginal Health Service Inc. had the organisation's AGM tonight. A new committee has been selected. One of the first things that the Committee would like to do is to invite the Armidale, Walcha, Guyra and Uralla Aboriginal communities to a meeting, to discuss the re-opening of the Pat Dixon Medical Centre. This meeting will be held on the 2nd November 2019 at 10.30am at the Centre. Please come along and join in the discussion. ... 17.01.2022 Just an update on 'what's on' at the local Armidale Aboriginal Health at the Pat Dixon Medical Centre. James Lovelock's exercise class for Aboriginal youth is on every Wednesday afternoon from 4pm to 4.30pm. Next Wednesday the parent and elders meeting will be discussing computer game addiction - all those Aboriginal parents, grandparents and extended family members interested in finding out about games such as "Fortnight" please come along.

13.01.2022 Hello everyone the James Lovelock exercise class is on Wednesday afternoon from 4pm-4.30pm for Aboriginal youth. The Koori kids have so much fun - please bring them along. We will be having more cultural activities in the January holidays so watch this space! During the October holiday period the kids painted a mural and its beautiful - please come and have a look. Last week Shane Phillips visited from Redfern and he shared what they are doing in Redfern and how the 'Tribal Warrior' operates - very interesting and inspiring talk. Here are some photos:

05.01.2022 Some more news from the 'Local' Armidale Aboriginal Health Service (Pat Dixon Medical Centre) - 98-100 Taylor St 1. James Lovelock will be doing his class for Aboriginal youth at the usual time - 4pm - 4.30pm Wednesday. 2. There's a meeting this Wednesday at the Pat Dixon Medical Centre and representatives from Freeman House will be attending. If you're interested in asking questions about alcohol and drug dependency then please come along. Aboriginal community are welcome. The meeting starts at 10.30am - morning tea will be provided. Share these events with friends and other Aboriginal community members.

01.01.2022 The local Armidale Aboriginal Health Service, located in the Pat Dixon Medical Centre, 98-100 Taylor Street Armidale will be having cultural activities for Aboriginal youth on the 9th and 10th October - the 2nd week of the October school holidays, from 10am to 1pm. This will be our fourth session of cultural activities this year and it will be a special one. Our kids will be doing a mural with an experienced Aboriginal artist - so parents bring your children, nephews and nieces along for some cultural fun! Lunch will be provided.
