24.01.2022 Fourth person arrested under Strike Force Buckinbah Lightning Ridge A fourth person has been charged as part of investigations into the alleged supply of proh...ibited drugs in the state’s North West. In June 2020, detectives attached to Central North Police District established Strike Force Buckinbah to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in the Lightning Ridge area. About 8am on Friday 11 September 2020, strike force officers, assisted by the Central North Police District Proactive Crime Team, Oxley Region Enforcement Squad and the Dog Unit executed search warrants at a business and two homes in Lightning Ridge. During the searches, officers allegedly located and seized more than $17,000 cash, methylamphetamine, MDMA, cocaine, cannabis, electronics, a jet ski, a quad bike, two dirt bikes and three cars at a home. Two men aged 30 and 21 and a 29-year-old woman remain before the courts. Following further investigations, a 44-year-old man was arrested after a vehicle stop on Three Mile Road, Lightning Ridge after returning a positive result for a random drug test. The man was taken to Lightning Ridge Police Station for subsequent testing which will be sent for forensic analysis. He was charged with participate criminal group contribute criminal activity and supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis. The man was refused bail to appear at Walgett Local Court today (Wednesday 16 September 2020). Inquiries under Strike Force Buckinbah continue.

A thirty six year old man has been arrested as part of this mornings investigation and is expected to be charged. The rescue and bomb disposal unit is on site to deal with a "suspicious substance" located in a South Bathurst home. Full story tonight at 6pm.

20.01.2022 Five people have been charged following an investigation into the supply of illicit drugs on the state’s South Coast. In June 2020, Strike Force Splinter was es...tablished by South Coast Police District to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs, specifically methylamphetamine, in the Nowra area. Following an extensive investigation, strike force investigators - with the assistance of the South East Region Enforcement Squad and Dog Unit - executed search warrants at three homes in Nowra, Culburra and Bomaderry earlier today (Friday 23 October 2020). The police operation commenced about 6am, with three men and two women arrested and taken to Nowra Police Station. During the searches, officers seized cash, drugs, a BMW sedan, property believed to be stolen, jewellery and prohibited weapon. All items seized during the operation will undergo forensic examination. An 18-year-old Bomaderry man was charged with an outstanding arrest warrant; A 30-year-old Culburra woman was charged with participate criminal group, supply prohibited drug (x3), owner/occupier knowingly allow use as drug premises, deal with property proceeds of crime (x2), possess prohibited restricted substance (x2), possess unregistered firearm, and possess prohibited weapon. A 31-year-old Culburra man was charged with participate criminal group, supply prohibited drug (x6) and supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis; A 34-year-old Nowra woman was charged with participate criminal group (x2), supply prohibited drug (x2), possess prohibited weapon and deal with property proceeds of crime (x2); and A 39-year-old man was charged with contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO. All five were refused bail to appear in Nowra Local Court today (Friday 23 October 2020). Investigations are continuing.

20.01.2022 DRUG LAB DISMANTLED IN BROKEN HILL Officers from the Barrier Police District have located and dismantled a clandestine lab as part of investigations into the... manufacture of prohibited drugs in the city. As part of ongoing investigations into the manufacture and supply of methylamphetamine, detectives executed a search warrant at a home on Boughtman Street just after 7am on Wednesday 20th January. Police located and seized methylamphetamine, cannabis, drug paraphernalia, mobile phones, a replica firearm and prohibited weapons. Equipment and chemicals, consistent with the supply and manufacture of prohibited drugs, were also located. As a result, a crime scene warrant was executed at the home and the lab was rendered safe. Officers from the Drug and Firearms Squad Chemical Operations Unit commenced the dismantling process today, which has now been completed. The items seized will undergo further examination. Investigations are continuing and no arrests have been made at this stage.

14.01.2022 A man has been charged as part of an investigation into alleged drug supply in Sydney’s south. About 1.30pm yesterday (Friday 7 August 2020), officers from Suth...erland Shire Police Area Command were patrolling a licensed premises on Railway Parade, Jannali, when they stopped and spoke to a patron. The 28-year-old man allegedly admitted to being in possession of prohibited drugs and was arrested. He resisted officers attempts to restrain him, elbowing a male senior constable before producing an electronic stun device. During a search of the man, officers allegedly located methamphetamine, known as ‘ice’, heroin, a knife, and cash. The man was taken to Sutherland Police Station before being transferred to Sutherland Hospital for treatment. Upon his return, he was charged with resist or hinder police officer in the execution of duty, Assault officer in execution of duty, use or possession of weapon to resist arrest, possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit, custody of a knife in a public place, supply prohibited drug - indictable quantity, Supply prohibited drug, and deal with property proceeds of crime. The man was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday 8 August 2020.

11.01.2022 DRUG BUST IN BROKEN HILL Three men and a woman have been charged with the supply of illicit drugs in Broken Hill. Police began an investigation into the drug ...syndicate in April this year, which lead to search warrants being issued at five properties across Broken Hill from 7am yesterday. During the course of the investigation, police seized more than 500g of methylamphetamine and more than 1000 MDMA tablets, cannabis, ammunition, electronic devices and cash. Three men aged 28, 30 and 31 and a 25-year-old woman were arrested and charged with multiple drug and criminal offences. They were all refused bail and will appear at the Broken Hill Local Court today.

Officers also found a cash counting machine and Mongols OMCG clothing. Queensland Police: Investigators from the Organised Crime Gangs Group have charged an alleged prospect of the Mongols Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) with drug and weapon offences following the execution of a search warrant at a Browns Plains residence on Friday. During the search of the residence on October 2, police located and seized 1.3 kilograms of methylamphetamine, 551 grams of cocaine, two handguns, a silencer, ammunition and approximately $50,000 cash. A cash counting machine and Mongols OMCG clothing were also located and seized. A 24-year-old Browns Plains man, allegedly a prospect of the Mongols OMCG, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a dangerous drug exceeding schedule, possession of category H firearms, possession of ammunition and possession of proceeds of crime. Detective Inspector Larissa Miller from the Organised Crime Gangs Group said this was a notable seizure with the arrest reflecting the Queensland Police Service’s commitment to pursuing OMCG-driven crime. OMCGs are motivated only by greed and profit, their activities are interwoven with the illegal possession of firearms, drugs and money causing significant harm to our community, Inspector Miller said. To those thinking of joining a gang, know that we are resolute in our commitment to disrupting and prosecuting members and associates of OMCGS and protecting the community from their criminal activities. 03.01.2022 Three men will appear in court today charged after prohibited drugs, weapons and cash were seized during search warrants across Sydney yesterday. In October las...t year, officers from Sydney City Police Area Command established Strike Force Fresno to investigate the large commercial supply of methylamphetamine across NSW. During the course of the operation, police seized 280g of methylamphetamine, with an estimated potential street value of $207,000. Following extensive inquiries, strike force investigators, assisted by specialist police from Surry Hills Region Enforcement Squad and the South West Metropolitan Region Operation Support Group, executed three search warrants in Drummoyne, Fairfield and Lane Cove yesterday (Wednesday 6 January 2020). During the searches, police seized 28g of cocaine, with an estimated potential street value of $12,600 and 53 vials of testosterone, with an estimated potential street value of $10,000. Police also seized a Glock 17 pistol, ammunition, handcuffs, an electronic stun device, butterfly knife, knuckle dusters, $12,000 cash, mobile phones and other items consistent with supply of prohibited drugs. Three men aged 24, 26 and 34 were arrested during the search warrants. The 26-year-old man was arrested at Fairfield and taken to Auburn Police Station where he was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug (commercial), two counts of supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, three counts of drive motor vehicle during disqualification period, possess unauthorised pistol, and two counts of possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit. The 24-year-old man was arrested at Drummoyne and taken to Day Street Police Station where he was charged with commercial drug supply, possess prohibited drug and deal with property proceeds of crime. The 34-year-old Enmore man was arrested at Lane Cove North and taken to Day Street Police Station where he was charged with take part supply prohibited drug (indictable). All three men were refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Thursday 7 January 2021). Inquiries continue. 02.01.2022 Surry Hills Region Enforcement Squad (RES) investigators have charged three people, seized $465,000 worth of ‘ice’ and $78,000 cash following an investigation i...nto the supply of prohibited drugs across Sydney. In May this year, detectives from Surry Hills RES established Strike Force Grundy to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs mainly methylamphetamine (ice) across Sydney. Following extensive investigations, Surry Hills RES detectives executed four search warrants at homes at Croydon, Homebush, Lugarno, and a business at Homebush, from 11am yesterday (Wednesday 19 August 2020). Investigators were assisted throughout the operation by the Central Metropolitan Region Operations Support Group (OSG), Bass Hill RES, Redfern RES, St George Police Area Command and the Rescue and Bomb Disposal Unit. During the searches, police seized $78,000 cash and more than 620g of methylamphetamine (ice) with an estimated potential street value of $465,000. Officers also seized about 170g of cannabis, about 290g of unidentified powders, anabolic steroids, prescription medication and equipment consistent with the supply of prohibited drugs. Mobile phones, electronic storage devices and documentation were also seized. All items will undergo further examination. A 44-year-old woman was arrested at a home at Croydon and taken to Burwood Police Station. She was charged with 16 offences including 11 counts of supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity), two counts of supply prohibited drug (large commercial quantity), supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity), possess prohibited drug and deal with proceeds of crime. Police will allege in court that the woman was involved in the supply of nearly 800g of methylamphetamine with an estimated potential street value of $600,000 between May and August this year. The woman was refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court today (Thursday 20 August 2020). A 28-year-old man was arrested at a home at Homebush and taken to Auburn Police Station, where he was charged with supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity). He was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on Thursday 15 October 2020. A 24-year-old man was arrested after returning to the Lugarno home during the search warrant and issued a Court Attendance Notice (CAN) for three counts of possess prohibited drug. He is due to appear at the Downing Centre Local Court on Friday 13 November 2020. Investigations by Surry Hills RES are continuing.
