22.01.2022 YOUTH GROUP IFTAR On Sunday 3 June 2018, the Albanian Australian Islamic Society's (AAIS) Youth Group held its very first iftar dinner during the Holy month of ...Ramadan at the AAIS Albanian Mosque. The Youth Group members gathered together on what was a fresh winter's evening, each generously bringing a plate of delicious food and sweets to share with one another. The days fast was happily broken together with dates and smiling faces were shining as the sun had set and the food was served. After breaking the fast, the Maghreb (Dusk) prayer was made together in a beautiful way to show gratitude to Allah (swt) for what was a blessed night of joy, laughter and delicious food. Alhamdulillah (All praise and thanks be to God), the AAIS Youth Group was also able to collectively raise approximately $650 from its various social events to donate towards Human Appeal International Australia (HAI), to provide relief and aid to brothers and sisters who are in need during this beautiful month of giving. InshaAllah (God-willing) the AAIS Youth Group will continue to organise beneficial events, such as this special Iftar, for the youth in the years to come. AMET BALLA Secretary www.aais.org.au === IFTARI I GRUPIT RINOR === Të dielën me 3 Qershor 2018, Grupi Rinor i Shoqatës Islamike Shqiptare Australiane (AAIS) mbajti darkën e parë të iftarit gjatë muajit të shenjtë të Ramazanit në xhaminë shqiptare të AAIS-it. Anëtarët e grupit rinor u mblodhën së bashku për atë që ishte një mbrëmje e freskët e dimrit, secili duke sjellë bujarisht një pjatë me ushqime dhe ëmbëlsira të shijshme për të ndarë me njëri-tjetrin. Dita shpejtë mbaroj për fat të mirë dhe ne së bashku hapëm iftarin me hurma dhe fytyra të buzëqeshura që po ndriçonin si dielli dhe ushqimi ishte shërbyer. Pas hapjes së agjërimit, namazi i Akshamit u fal së bashku në një mënyrë të bukur për t'i treguar mirënjohje Allahut (xh.sh) për atë që ishte një natë e bekuar e gëzimit me tw qeshura dhe ushqim të shijshëm. Elhamdulilah (Falënderimet dhe Lavdërimet i takojnë vetëm Allahut), grupi i të rinjve të AAIS-it ishte gjithashtu në gjendje të mbledhë kolektivisht rreth 650$ nga ngjarjet e ndryshme shoqërore për të dhuruar drejt shoqatës humanitare Human Apeal International Australia (HAI), për të ofruar ndihmë për vëllezërit dhe motrat që janë në nevojë gjatë këtij muaji të bukur të dhënies. 16.01.2022 Ramadan Mubarak! The AAIS Youth Group will be holding an Iftar on Sunday the 3rd of June at the AAIS Mosque. We'd love to see everyone come down and break their fast together with some beautiful food and company.... Bring a plate of food if you can and share the rewards :) We will also be raising money and donating to our brothers and sisters in need through Human Appeal International. 16.01.2022 FEEDING MELBOURNE’S HOMELESS On Saturday 20 July 2019, a team of volunteers from the Albanian Australian Islamic Society (AAIS) took part in another 'Feeding M...elbourne’s Homeless' program organised through the Community Care Network (CCN). The evening started in Port Melbourne, where volunteers were given instructions for the night and food graciously donated by local Melbourne restaurants was prepared for the evening food service. Once the CCN food van was filled with hot meals, it was a short drive to Flinders St Station where the team quickly set-up the CCN mobile food distribution station with hot food, water, coffee and tea. Upon arrival people from the Melbourne’s homeless community had already gathered in anticipation at just one of the weekly locations where the CCN serve Melbourne’s homeless. Once we were set up and begun our service, it immediately struck all of us how thankful those receiving a simple hot meal and refreshments were for having a constant source of food that they could depend on a weekly basis that was being provided for by CCN. The 'Feed the Homeless' program provides a special opportunity for people to feed those less fortunate in the broader community, who rely on the generosity and good will of others to obtain a meal and other basic essentials that many of us take for granted. The CCN runs the program every Saturday and Sunday evening. Being a volunteer driven organisation, volunteers are always sought after and in limited supply, so please consider getting involved in the ‘Feed the Homeless’ program by contacting the CCN. We would like to thank the CCN for accommodating and facilitating our involvement in this important and memorable initiative and we look forward to organising another AAIS group of volunteers in the near future. May Allah (SWT) reward everyone that volunteers their time and contributes towards feeding Melbourne’s less fortunate. Abdur-Rahmaan Balla AAIS Youth Committee www.aais.org.au USHQIMI I TË PASTREHËVE TË MELBURNIT Të shtunën me 20 Korrik 2019, një grup vullnetarësh nga Shoqata Islamike Shqiptare Australiane (AAIS) morën pjesë në një program tjetër 'Ushqyerja e të Pastrehëve të Melburnit', organizuar përmes Rrjetit të Kujdesit për Komunitetin (CCN). Mbrëmja filloi në Port Melburn, ku vullnetarët pranuan udhëzime për natën dhe ushqimin e dhuruar me mirësi nga restorantet lokale të Melburnit që u përgatit për shërbim në mbrëmje. Pasi makina e CCN-it ishte i mbushur me ushqime të nxehta, ishte një udhëtim i shkurtër për në Stacionin Flinders St ku ekipi përgaditi shpejt stacionin e shpërndarjes së ushqimit me ushqim të nxehtë, ujë, kafe dhe çaj. Pas mbërritjes, njerëzit nga komuniteti i pastrehë i Melburnit ishin mbledhur tashmë në pritje vetëm në një nga vendet e përjavshme ku CCN shërbeu për të pastrehët e Melburnit. Sapo u ngritëm dhe filluam shërbimin tonë, menjëherë na bëri të lumtur se sa mirënjohës ishin ata që merrnin një ushqim dhe pije freskuese të thjeshtë për të pasur një burim të vazhdueshëm ushqimesh, të cilat mund të vareshin nga një bazë javore që ishte siguruar nga CCN. Programi "Ushqim i pastrehëve" siguron një mundësi të veçantë për njerëzit që të ushqejnë ata me më pak fat në komunitetin më të gjerë, të cilët mbështeten në bujarinë dhe vullnetin e mirë të të tjerëve për të marrë një ushqim dhe elemente të tjera themelore që shumë prej nesh i marrim si asgjë. CCN e drejton programin çdo të shtunë dhe të diel në mbrëmje. Duke qenë organizatë vullnetare, vullnetarët janë gjithmonë të kërkuar pas dhe në furnizim të kufizuar, prandaj pyesni të përfshiheni në programin 'Feed the Homeless' duke kontaktuar CCN. Dëshiroj të falenderoj CCN-në për akomodimin dhe lehtësimin e përfshirjes tonë në këtë iniciativë të rëndësishme dhe të paharrueshme dhe ne shpresojmë që të organizojmë një grup tjetër vullnetarësh nga AAIS në të ardhmen e afërt. 10.01.2022 IFTAR ON NIGHT OF POWER On Sunday 10 June 2018, the Albanian Australian Islamic Society (AAIS) hosted its 16th annual ‘Laylatul Qadr’ Iftar for financial member...s. Alhamdulillah, approximately 150 AAIS members and their families attended this year’s breaking of fast at the AAIS. A delicious spread of traditional Albanian dishes was prepared by AAIS members to break the day’s fast. After the main meal, everyone enjoyed some traditional coffee and sweets. Imam Dr. Bekim Hasani then provided a talk in both Albanian and English on the importance of the Night of Power, how Ramadan brings families, friends and the whole Muslim community together and how we should strive to continue to do our best outside of the blessed month. The AAIS program also included a recitation of the Quran, poems and Nasheeds (Islamic songs) that were performed by members of the AAIS and children from the AAIS Islamic Classes. The atmosphere of the event truly captured the essence of the blessed occasion which would not have been achieved without the tremendous support and contribution of AAIS members. May Allah (swt) accept our worship and reward everyone that helped make this year’s AAIS ‘Night of Power’ a success. Ameen. Elhamdulilah, rreth 150 anëtarë të AAIS-it dhe familjet e tyre morën pjesë në bërjen e iftarit të këtij viti në AAIS. Një ushqim i shijshëm e specialiteteve tradicionale shqiptare u përgatit nga anëtarët e AAIS-it për të thyer agjërimin e ditës. Pas ushqimit kryesor, të gjithë shijuan gjithashtu kafe dhe ëmbëlsira tradicionale. Pastaj Imam Dr. Bekim Hasani dha një ligjëratë në gjuhën shqipe dhe angleze mbi rëndësinë e natës së Kadrit, se si Ramazani bashkon familjet, miqtë dhe të gjithë bashkësinë muslimane dhe se si duhet të përpiqemi të vazhdojmë të bëjmë sa më shumë punë të mira edhe jashtë këtij muaji të bekuar. Programi AAIS-it për këtë natë përfshinte gjithashtu një recitim të Kur'anit, poezive dhe Nashedëve (ilahive) që u mbajtën nga anëtarët e AAIS-it dhe fëmijët nga klasat Islamike të AAIS-it. Atmosfera e ngjarjes me të vërtetë kishte kapur thelbin e këtij rasti të bekuar që nuk do të arrihej pa mbështetjen dhe kontributin e jashtëzakonshëm të anëtarëve të AAIS-it. 08.01.2022 FIFA & Pizza Night On Saturday 19 January 2019, the Albanian Australian Islamic Society (AAIS) organised a ‘FIFA & Pizza Night’ for the youth that attend the Th...ursday night classes at the Youth Centre. The brothers gathered together and were buzzing with excitement for the friendly, yet competitive, FIFA gaming tournament that was about to take place. After some impressive skills and results, the group took a break to pray the Maghreb (Dusk) prayer together. After the prayer was performed, everyone made a contribution towards some delicious pizza. Then, it was straight back into the tournament for some more thrilling FIFA action. The winning duo of the night were Agron Dauti and Mylazim Elmazi, who were awarded with chocolates for their great teamwork! Overall, everyone enjoyed themselves and had a great night at the AAIS Youth Centre. With the success of the ‘FIFA & Pizza Night’, the AAIS Executive Committee is considering to hold the event on a monthly basis at the Youth Centre. So, if members of the AAIS youth are interested in participating in the next ‘FIFA & Pizza Night’, please contact the AAIS Youth Group. Vëllezërit u mblodhën së bashku dhe se vendi ushtonte me entuziazëm për turneun miqësor të video-lojërave të FIFA-s, i cili ishte gati të zhvillohet. Pas disa aftësive dhe rezultateve mbresëlënëse, grupi mori një pushim për ta falur namazin e Akshamit. Pas përfundimit të namazit, të gjithë shijuan një picë të shijshme. Pastaj turneu kishte vazhduar për një veprim më emocionues të FIFA-s. Dyshja fituese e natës ishin Agron Dauti dhe Mylazim Elmazi, të cilët u ndanë me çokollata për punën e tyre të madhe në ekip! Në përgjithësi, të gjithë u gëzuan dhe patën një natë të madhe në Qendrën Rinore të AAIS-it.
