21.01.2022 An update from the NSW Parks and Wildlife Service for backcountry and alpine tourists this winter season. From Tuesday 9 June 2020, visitors wishing to undertake on-snow back country activities will need to register a Trip Intention Form (TIF) with NPWS prior to their arrival. Examples of on-snow back country activities, which can be undertaken after a TIF is lodged, include back country snow shoeing, cross country skiing, skiing and snowboarding. Tobogganing, sledding and snow-tubing is prohibited throughout Kosciuszko National Park in 2020. There are no accessible areas in Kosciuszko National Park that allow these activities to be safely undertaken in accordance with the current COVID-19 physical-distancing requirements.

20.01.2022 My husband, friends and I had the pleasure of staying at Aalberg Chalet over the last weekend. It was definitely the best place we have stayed at in Jindabyne.... The rooms were well equipped, breakfast was fantastic and Lindsay and Ula were perfect hosts! I can only imagine how wonderful the atmosphere is without the restraints of Covid19. Sitting around the fireplace, having a few drinks and meeting other guests would have added to the weekend. (hopefully next year). We will be testing out the other Sinclair's properties soon! 10.01.2022 With the current situation regarding COVID-19, it is not surprising that travel restrictions and #StopTheSpread will inevitably effect the 2020 snow season. With this in mind we have decided to support our community and remain closed until further notice. We will open when Jindabyne wants to play in the snow again.
