22.01.2022 Clean Up Australia Day 2019, a great effort from our cadets today. Community service is a big part of being an Australian Air League cadet and they helped clean up the grounds at the Southport Flying Club. Great job!



21.01.2022 Our latest online parade night featured a special presentation by Leading Cadet McVeigh and his latest flying training. Every week our cadets are encouraged to share some personal experiences through a screen share presentation. Well done to all our cadets and their current efforts, we are all proud of you.

17.01.2022 Cadets, Officers and parents from Coolangatta - Tweed Sqn and Gold Coast Sqn attended the NASA exhibit at The Qld Museum in Brisbane to celebrate the anniversary of the moon landing, help cadets with their Space Flight education, but mainly to support, Fun, Friendship and Flying within our Air League Squadrons.



16.01.2022 And just like that our second parade night was over. Check out our cadets showing our on screen emojis to celebrate a cadets birthday. A new way of getting together. So proud of our cadets and their achievements. Sharing their cooking skills, creations and photos and studying some first aid skills. Well done everyone.

16.01.2022 Our first online parade, good fun had by all. Set some tasks for them all to do by next week. One task is to help their parents cook something but present it in the shape of a plane. Cant wait to see their creations. Good luck cadets, good luck mums - sorry in advance.

16.01.2022 Our last parade evening for a while due to the current situation. We had a fantastic time tonight, fun and friendship was the aim of the night. Check out our cadets completing aviation quizzes and thier aviation prizes. Thanks to Peter Long and the Air Gold Coast team for their hospitality again, and our prizes.

12.01.2022 Coolangatta -Tweed Sqn's first parade night of 2019 was a great success. We celebrated new cadet Jakob, and welcomed 5 new friends who were trying out for the first time. This year is shaping up to be our most exciting yet.

11.01.2022 A very successful 2019 Group Review for our squadron. Thanks to all the cadets, officers and parents for making this possible, truly a team effort. Some outstanding education entries, marching effort, athletics results, winners in the pool, Coolangatta Tweed Sqn became the overall winners of the 2019 Queensland Group Review.

09.01.2022 A great big congratulations goes to Leading cadets Raine, McVeigh and McEvoy, along with cadets Antecka, McMahon, McRuvie, Waldron and Williams for attending the Group Training Camp on the long weekend. A special congrats to Leading Cadet McEvoy for his outstanding effort in the Cadet of the Year competition, narrowly missing out. Well done to all, and officers for their efforts.

05.01.2022 Way back Wednesday - lets look back on our journey. 2018 saw cadets practising erecting tents for upcoming camps. The girls far outshining the boys.......our girls can do anything. What a great time had by all.

04.01.2022 Today our cadets and officers visited Gold Coast airport control tower and emergency services facility. We got an insight into aircraft operations and rescue responses. Thanks to Gold Coast Airport and Air Gold Coast for organising and supporting our young people and community. Thanks to Sandra Raine for catering, lunch was awesome. 02.01.2022 In amongst the lockdowns, Cpl McVeigh has been studying and practising and finally has been awarded his Student Pilot Epaulettes and will in fact undertake his first solo flight in a few weeks. Congratulations on your huge effort, we are all proud of you.

02.01.2022 What a great way to spend our last parade night this term, thanks to the team at Air Gold Coast, the cadets enjoyed a workshop hangar tour and simulator experience. We are very blessed to have the support of Air Gold Coast, keeping it very real for our cadets. Fun, friendship and flying all on display tonight. Looking forward to term 4.
