24.01.2022 ALCOHOL is a separate macronutrient, sitting at 7 calories per gram. So yes, it is high in calories & adds no nutritional value. However, like most things in life - it is fine in moderation. This isn’t a call out to get on the piss all the time or when you see fit. If you like to enjoy a bev or two? Okay. If you prefer not to drink? Also okay.... All we’re saying is that if you choose to, one night or event won’t ruin your progress. So next time you have a cold one, enjoy it & remind yourself you’re not cheating/falling off your journey for doing so - it’s all about that balance!

24.01.2022 COMPOUND EXERCISES : multi-joint movements, working a number of muscle groups at the same time. Examples : squat, deadlift, bench press, shoulder press, bent over row etc. We incorporate these along with isolation exercises in our programming for the following reasons:... - functional and time efficient. - hits multiple muscle groups simultaneously. - recruits a large number of motor units. If strength training is your choice of exercise be sure to incorporate these movements, no matter the goal.

22.01.2022 An evening out with a pal turning into an improv workout with a random French bloke after recognition. Not much compares to the feeling of helping others : whether it’s coaching in a gym or a sidewalk.

20.01.2022 FOOD IS FUEL, NOT THE ENEMY. Guilt or fear is NOT what you should feel when eating. Labelling or categorising is NOT what you should be doing when picking a meal.... There is simply MORE NUTRIENT DENSE foods + LESS NUTRIENT DENSE foods. Want to have more nutrient dense foods 100% of the time? OKAY. Want to have more nutrient dense foods majority of the time + the less nutrient dense foods in moderation? ALSO COOL. REFRAME and the RESULTS will COME + STAY. #atpt

20.01.2022 We prioritise mental health just as much as the physical over here. START the chat LISTEN in & OPEN up #atpt #ruokday

16.01.2022 ENDING 2020 BOOKED OUT : due to limited days (yes, Aaliyah is having time off these holidays - shockerrrrr) all spaces are locked for the last couple of weeks. In terms of service availability for the future : ONLINE COACHING : is at 100% - cheeringgg. PERSONAL TRAINING : limited spots are still available.... One thing this year hasn’t affected is business & I couldn’t be more fortunate to say that as I know I’m extremely lucky. Let’s end it off well!

14.01.2022 MOBILITY : why we prioritise it. - Prepares the body for the stress from training. - Reduces the risk of injury. - Helps improve technique, range of motion, body awareness & posture.... - Alleviates ‘everyday’ aches & pains. Not one of our clients miss it and the difference it makes for not only performance & recovery but overall mobility for all things in life is INSANE. Be sure to prioritise it as much as your training!

13.01.2022 Majority of you will know I participate every year : for the impact it’s not only had personally but for the fact that there isn’t one person I know who hasn’t been affected by the big C. Whether this just sparks awareness or makes you want to join our team, it’s all about getting behind important foundations.. Here’s to a Dry July & raising what we can to help out!

11.01.2022 Best tip to stay CONSISTENT? Find what YOU enjoy. Even though our methods revolve around strength training, that doesn’t mean that’s the by all & end all. There are SO many ways to move your body, it’s all about discovering what suits you.... So, keep this in mind when you’re trying to make a lifestyle change or get your health/fitness in check - otherwise you’ll forever be stuck in the yo-yo cycle of starting over & over again...

10.01.2022 BISCOFF CHEESECAKE BARS. I’m on the bandwagon for this heaven in a jar. So, I whipped up a recipe that is a treat. I N G R E D I E N T S.... CRUST : 1.5 Gingersnap Cookie crumbs 4 tbs Butter (room temperature) 2 tbs oil - we used olive oil but coconut would work. FILLING : 200g Biscoff Spread 250g Cream Cheese 2 tbs Maple Syrup 1/2 cup Coconut Sugar 2 tbs White Whole Wheat Flour (or coconut) 2 eggs. M E T H O D. Preheat oven to 160 + prep cake tray. Prepare crust by blitzing cookies until crumbed then combining with other ingredients. Bake crust for 10 minutes + let cool for at least 10 also. Whilst crust is cooking, combine ingredients for filling together - ensure eggs go in last & try not to beat them too much. Once all is mixed, add into pan with crust. Bake for 35-40mins or until cheesecake has a gelatine consistency. Allow to completely cool once cooked then refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Then enjoyyyyyyy. #atpt

10.01.2022 WE’RE BACK BABYYYYYY As of today, I’m officially back in the gym & as you can tell, ya girl is STOKED. While the doors were shut I remained fully booked out in all services & there are no words to say how grateful I am.... Thanks to you all, I’m able to ease back in & continue doing what I love every day. 2020 isn’t cancelled for ATPT or the fam, that’s for sure

09.01.2022 Just dropping a friendly hump day reminder : we ain’t about poor technique or half reps here..

08.01.2022 MORE THAN JUST A GYM. Even though our doors are closed, doesn’t mean we are. A day doesn’t go past without connecting with a member & I wouldn’t have it any other way. Whether it be for training, advice, updates, check-ins or just a yarn - we’re still here to help

08.01.2022 For those asking : these are our only working days over the next 3 weeks for PERSONAL TRAINING - and we’re all booked out. Over & Out, A!

07.01.2022 Conventional Deadlift : 170kgs / 375lbs x 1 PB for client - Delyse Tualaulelei Only 2 months of working with this incredible woman & look what we’ve already achieved Plus body fat loss, rehabilitation & improved mobility/flexibility.... Proud of the growth so far & it’s only the beginning

07.01.2022 3 years on : NEW LOGO, SAME GOAL

07.01.2022 MYTH BUSTER : doing core exercises gives you abs Before a Karen attacks - should you train them? Absolutely. They’re just as important as every other muscle group. Also, if you want them? Cool. If not? Also cool. You do you.... We’re just here to put out there that: - 1000 sit ups without your nutrition on track won’t work : if this was the case, we’d all have six packs. - We all store body fat differently : some have them more visible, some don’t. So don’t fall for the gimmicks folks. If it’s a goal of yours - get both your intake & outake in check and stop thinking doing hours of shredded tummy workouts are going to do the job for you.

05.01.2022 Do you train any males? : fun fact, our client base is 50/50 ratio of both genders. Although our day & age are embracing female coaches in this industry more, backlash is still common. That doesn’t stop us though : I’ve helped & continue to help blokes get their shit together like big T here!

04.01.2022 DID YOU KNOW - that when it comes to my own training : I have coaches as well. WHY? Because I want my focus to be 100% on my clients. Hiring people for myself allows that. I have a strength coach who does all my programming & when I’m needing some cardio - boxing is my go to.... No shame in getting trained myself - not only is it a personal push and a method of learning but it also opens up networking within my industry with like minded people, so it’s a win win.

04.01.2022 Dropping in to remind y’all to take time out to RELAX & RECHARGE. It’s easy to get caught in the trap of always being or thinking you have to be on the grind 24/7, I’m one of the worst people for it. However, it is not necessary to burn yourself out in any aspect - work, training, anything.... Don’t get us wrong : go out there & make that dough. Just remember to have some rest. You’ll get that bread in the end - but it can be on a rise or a flat, I know which I’d prefer (you bet your a** I used food for a metaphor )

02.01.2022 OWNER + HEAD COACH : @aaliyah.taurau The director of ATPT & the face behind the feed QUALIFICATIONS : Cert. III + IV Fitness Dip. Nutrition (non-clinical) Dip. Fitness Performance Nutrition Coach Level 1 + 2 Massage Essentials.... 3 years on : still got the same passion to help others #atpt

02.01.2022 FAT LOSS 101 : what people think they need to do vs what actually works. Please remember to take this from a majority point of view : We understand there are those who love running or burpees over weight training. We know flexible dieting isn’t for everyone.... However, how we coach our clients to hit their fat loss goals & actually maintain them - is with the green. So just keep in mind that cardio isn’t the only way, detoxes/fat burners are a waste of money & you can still enjoy a doughnut or two and still progress.

02.01.2022 CHECK IN MONDAY : if you’re a client of mine, you already know what it is. We conduct Weekly Check In’s & 24/7 Support for not only accountability but so everyone knows we’re here to help/adjust with whatever may be. We do a lot more than just train people..

02.01.2022 My reaction to MONDAY CHECK-IN’s : If you’re a client of mine, you know ALLLL about this. As a coach I couldn’t be more proud of EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU for continuing to put in the work with the current circumstances.... We ensure to help our clients get strong both mentally + physically & times like this are definitely showing that off. #atpt

01.01.2022 KEY CUES FOR A BACK SQUAT: - hand placement : as close as shoulder mobility allows. - bar position : make sure to rest it in correct place for high or low. - get tight : drive elbows back and push shoulders down. - breathe & brace : engage your core and hold breath throughout the lift.... - ribs down : keep the spine neutral. - spread the floor with your feet and externally rotate your knees.
