24.01.2022 We can say anything, we can write anything and we can even do anything to show we are a leader, but unless the behaviour we exhibit - especially when we aren't concentrating or we think no-one is watching - is authentic and real, then we will never reach true leadership in our own or other's eyes because "behaviour never lies".... So how do we achieve authentic behaviour when we are just starting on our self-leadership journey or if we still unsure of our own leadership skil...ls? There are ways, and all starts within... - journal to reflect on your actions, behaviours and fears to identify areas to work on - challenge yourself! Build your self confidence by stepping out of your comfort zone and trying something new - analyse how others view your current behaviours by undertaking assessments such as Aamori Group Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI) 360 or DISC ADVANCED Leadership assessment - begin a coaching journey with Aamori Group leader coaching programs to build your leadership skills across all areas #leaderdevelopment #lpi360 #DISCadvanced #steppingup #challengeready #aamorigroup
22.01.2022 As we prepare to come out of the first stage of COVID-19 restrictions, many of us have spent some of our time over the last few weeks on self development - whether it has been webinars, books, podcasts, programs or even just playing with new technology... so in some sense, we have been working on our self leadership already! In line with the words of Socrates - self leadership is about embracing the "new", it's all about finding out what you are capable of and then going a ...step further, it's all about believing in yourself, taking that big breathe and a big step forward in your mind... Are you ready? #selfleadership #makingchanges #steppingup #challengeready

16.01.2022 Times are tough for everyone at the moment... there is no separating between businesses and employees being impacted... we are literally "all in this together"... So how can we help our friends and family without shelling out we don't have??? If you have a friend or family member who has a small business , a simple way to help is to share the love .... like, follow, share and/or comment on their business social media posts! This in itself can be tough, as our feeds are... full of posts now that everyone really has no other option than communicating online! Normally you may scroll past your friend or family member's post.... but now they (we) need your help more than any other time.... Your engagement (through liking, following, sharing and/or commenting ) may just cut through the noise and move their business post to the front of a news-feed of someone who needs their service or product! .. and it costs you nothing but love .... This simple act of "business love" could then mean an employee keeps there job through this crisis; another job is created or a small business stays open a little bit longer! #inthistogether #supportsmallbusiness #spreadthelove #familyhelp #friendhelp #sharethesocials #businesslove

08.01.2022 Anything worth doing takes time and is usually hard! Achieving self leadership is no different - there are no "easy streets" to get there, so it is all the more important to celebrate successes along the way.. The journey to self leadership is exactly that.... a journey - there will be great parts, but there will also be hurdles to face before you reach where you are aiming to go. Without recognising and celebrating achievements along the way, the journey runs the risk of b...ecoming too hard, the challenge to seem big and the distance to be too far away. So how can we make sure we are recognising and celebrating those successes?.... - good leadership behaviour; by recognising and celebrating good self leadership behaviour - behaviours become "muscle memory" and easier to achieve naturally - cues; celebrate when you identify the non verbal cues of others and adjust your behaviour automatically - this understanding assists in developing our emotional intelligence when leading and interacting with others - set goals; write out SMART goals for achieving self leadership - maintain motivation by ensuring your goals are S-specific, M-measurable, A-achievable, R-realistic & T-timed (it really does work!) #selfleadership #steppingup #challengeready

07.01.2022 What a great quote to kick off our Managing Change tips as we all start to emerge from COVID restrictions. The last few months will have had all of us evaluating what truly is important and that "desire" is certainly different for all of us! As leaders, we need to prepare to lead our teams into the "new normal" and for most (ourselves included), that is going to be quite scary so we need to find motivators to assist our team members to embrace the inevitable change.... The f...irst thing we, as leaders, need to do is find the WIIFM... "Whats in it for me" for each of our team members. This isn't just about about a pay rise, a box of chocolates or a day off... this is digging deeper to find out how the new way of work, the office changes, the new structures being put in place will positively impact our teams.. individually... So how do we do that, whether you are leading small or large teams? For an informal approach - start with yourself.. What are the positives for you for the "new normal" situation? What is getting you excited about the change? No matter what the "WIIFM" is, there is a good chance others in your team will feel the same. Next, put yourself in others shoes... think about everything you know about your team members, do you have friends or family members who are similar to your team members? What are potential positives for them? What are your network groups talking about when it comes to changes in their workplaces? Once you have considered all the options, create an info graphic or something similar that clearly shows what the potential positives can be... This can help calm some of the nerves, build a little excitement and help make the transition to our "new normal" just that little bit easier! Developing this understanding goes a long way to helping your team manage the inevitable changes we are all facing. Contact us today to discuss this method as well as others to find your team's WIIFM.. #DISCADVANCED #Managingchange #WIIFM
06.01.2022 We can't eat a whole cake in one go (no matter how good it looks)... we need to cut it into pieces ... completing projects and big tasks are no different (just maybe not so sweet!)... *Don't forget to download and print our tip sheets and place around your work station! #procrastinationbuster... #professionaldevelopment #gettingthingsdone #wfhmaster See more
05.01.2022 As we continue to live our "new normal" in this crazy situation, the shine and novelty of working from home will most likely be rubbing away..... Distractions from home (the Netflix series, home chores, new hobbies) will be starting to seep through your initial productivity.... So now, more than ever, it is important to reserve some space to focus on beating procrastination.... To help beat this, we would love to share some of our tips to maintain (or build) productivity in these trying situations.... #COVID19tips #professionaldevelopment #eatthefrog
05.01.2022 How do we take care of others without taking care of ourselves first? Sounds simple, yet self care is usually the first thing we forget about! Ensuring we are looking after our well-being puts us on the right track when developing self-leadership. Develop your emotional awareness - learn how to identify your own emotions as well as other's emotions. Once you identify them, develop skills in harnessing and managing your own emotions in different situations. Emotional journall...ing is a great tool to develop this skill Managing stress levels - possibly a hard one to do during our current COVID situation, though identifying what stress looks like and feels like for you is the first step! Working out what the key causes or triggers are is the next step. Reflect each day on situations you were in and how they made you feel - record any triggers or situations you identify that raise your stress levels Don't worry, be happy! Find what makes you happy! You are the only one in charge of your happiness - others can help, but only you can allow yourself to be happy! Laugh, explore, challenge and accept... all keys to finding happiness! Which of the self leadership tips resonated with you #selfleadership #aamoridevelopment #happiness
05.01.2022 Glass half full or half empty? Being able to see the whole picture and analyse the positives and the opportunities for improvement is an amazing self leadership skill to develop... so how do you do it? Think positively! Positive people naturally attract positivity into their lives, usually because they do not let negative situations hold them back - they identify opportunities for improvement, or learnings from those situations and move on quickly. The don't dwell or react ...negatively - it can take practice to achieve but it is possible. Talk to yourself! Listen to that "inner" voice and hone in on the positive conversation (sometimes you have to really listen to hear it).. Ignore the negative voice, focus on the positive one and embrace self encouragement - you are your biggest champion! Know yourself! What are your own beliefs and assumptions? Do you understand how they impact your decision making and your behaviour? Do you understand how you came to have those beliefs and assumptions? By understanding and challenging our own beliefs and assumptions, we develop a greater understanding of others, and we can develop greater opportunities to have a positive impact on others! #selfleadership #steppingup #aamoridevelopment
