23.01.2022 Radio Racing Cars of South Australia have announced the 2019 RCRA IC Australian National Championships which will be held at the iconic and newly resurfaced Littlehampton RC circuit in the Adelaide hills. The event will be held across the week of Tuesday, November 19th to Sunday November 24th (no rain day) and will be run to the current RCRA rules. This will be the last opportunity for Nitro Tourer drivers to register points in order to qualifying for the 2020 IFMAR 200mm 1/1...0th Nitro Tourer World Championships in Brendale, QLD next year. RRCSA has appointed an official race director and time keeper to ensure the event is run as professionally as possible and to current RCRA rules. 20.01.2022 Following the success of the 45+ masters 1/8th scale class at the recent Asian Nitro Championship RCRA is excited to announce that the 1/8th scale 45+ masters class will now be offered at the upcoming 2019 NSWRCRCC State Championships. This class is an opportunity to increase participation from those whom normally wouldnt run this class of car or who have thought about giving the ultimate form of RC racing car a go at a major RCRA event or who are looking for a close form of RC racing. The MyRCM online entry form will soon be updated with this class.

16.01.2022 March 23rd/24th saw the running of the 2019 South Australian IC State Championships hosted by Radio Racing Cars S.A. Inc. (RRCSA). Run on the super smooth new track surface all ready for the 2019 IC National Championships and now challenging England Park Raceway for the title of the best track surface in the country. Mugen Seiki Co., Ltd. factory driver Jeff Hamon took the TQ and win in both 8th scale and Nitro Tourer classes while Capricorn Driver Steven Jovanovic t...ook 2nd place in 8th scale with Creation Model Ltd. driver Nick Salib in 3rd. In Nitro Tourer, it was Mugen Seiki Racing driver Ricky Kradolfer who secured 2nd place on the podium ahead of Andrew Shaplands Infinity in 3rd. 12.01.2022 An update on the rule set associated with the new 8th scale 45+ masters class is below. Please note that a competitor may not compete in both 1/8 Open and 1/8 Masters at the same event. As the 1/8 Masters (a subset of 1/8 IC Open) is an initiative in its infancy, the following guide lines have been developed to ensure that the intent is realised and adhered to. 1. All RCRA IC General and 1/8 On-road Technical Rules apply to 1/8 Masters. 2. To be eligible to com...pete in the 1/8 Maters, the competitor must be a minimum of 45 years of age at the time of the event. 3. A competitor may not compete in both 1/8 Open and 1/8 Masters at the same event. 4. In the event that 1/8 Masters does not attract the minimum required entrants (8), entrants will be offered the option to either compete in 1/8 Open or withdraw from the event. 5. In the event that 1/8 Open does not attract the minimum required entrants (8), 1/8 Masters and Open entries will be combined, and run as 1/8 Open. Entrants will be offered the option to either compete or withdraw from the event. 6. Both 1/8 Masters and 1/8 Open will be judged together for the purpose of Concourse. See more

12.01.2022 All, an update for you all. As promised, the executive have met and discussed the overall stance of RCRA and sanctioned events with respect to government advice. Due to the inability for ALL racers across the country to practice, to attend their clubs and attend events sadly our advice of all sanctioned events being on hold until June 30 still stands. All IFMAR events, including the IC 1/10th worlds in Brisbane, are still indefinitely delayed.... We are hopeful that regular club racing can get back to normal at some stage this year for all racers and once this occurs we can review the national calendar. We remind you that we all have a responsibility to do our part with regards to stopping the spread and we must adhere to government advice as a minimum. This week has seen a number of state and territory governments relax restrictions regarding social gathering - this is wonderful, welcomed news. Numerous locations are now allowing up to 10people to gather in social and non-contact sporting situations. Social distancing of 1.5m spacing and 4sqm per person in covered areas still applies in all instances however. This means *some* clubs will be able to open their tracks for practice days. It will of course depend on individual club circumstances, government advice and council rules. 11.01.2022 RCRA IC Onroad NSW State Championships at the Moorebank RC raceway is only 2 weeks away. Hosted by New South Wales Radio Controlled Racing Car Club Inc and run over the weekend of June 6th - 9th, it will feature Australias best on road drivers from around the country. The racing is going to be fast and super close across an already large field of entries in 200mm tourer, 8th scale open and GT. Also debuting for the first time at a RCRA event will be the 1/8th scale 45+ class.... Aimed at 8th scale racers above the age of 45+, this class proved to be incredibly exciting and close at the recent Asian Nitro Championship last month in Brisbane. 09.01.2022 All, as promised here is the IC ONR 200mm 1:10 Tourer Rankings as the appear for 2018/19 as of today. You will notice the nationals column is currently blank and after completion of the 2019 National Championships in Adelaide the rankings will be updated to reflect the results. At this point in time, the top 20 are shown in the image attached to this post and if you click on the link provided below you will see the full list.... Please note those who have competed in four (4) events are ranked above those who have competed in three (3) events (and so on and so forth) down the list. Competing in the Nationals in Adelaide this year may have a significant effort on your current ranking and may alter your current position in the list. Conversely, if you do not compete, there is a high chance you will drop down further. Why is this important? As per RCRA rules, the ranking will be the basis for allocation of available spots to be allocated to Australian competitors. the higher up the list you are based on your performance in events in the two years prior to the worlds year, the greater chance of getting a spot should you apply for one. 02.01.2022 2020 Worlds Qualification - Australian Spots Quick note regarding the upcoming Nationals at RRCSA - this is your LAST CHANCE to get formal qualification points for the event as per the current ruleset. For those of you that are thinking ... it will be alright, Ill get a spot regardless Please dont assume this. There *might* be some wildcard spots, yes. But we will not be simply filling the event until full with wildcard spots like some have been led to believe. The spots will be limited to perhaps 5 or 10 spots. There is highly likely to be a NON REFUNDABLE fee relating to Wildcard spots as well.
