25.01.2022 SEASON 2020 POLICY STATEMENT (COVID-19) Aardvark Alpine Lodge takes the health and wellbeing of guests, members, our manager/s and the wider community seriously. To protect everyone were following all government mandated guidelines and health recommendations and ask you to do the same. Any winter 2020 bookings and operations in the shadow of COVID-19 will be subject to special precautions and conditions designed to reduce infection risk:... * A new COVID-19 specific booking policy allowing you to request a cancellation or change of dates without penalty/fees will apply for the duration of ski season 2020 or until further notice. * We reserve the right to cancel bookings without notice in order to comply with official directives and/or to preserve the health and safety of any or all parties. * Each room will be limited to one booking - to achieve this 'spare' beds in the same room can be booked FREE for the duration of ski season 2020 or until further notice. * Access to communal areas will be actively managed to optimise social distancing - failure to comply with lodge manager directives may result in immediate expulsion. * All guests MUST self-assess in advance of their stay and STAY AWAY if experiencing any symptoms of possible COVID-19 sickness - a refund for cancellation under such circumstances will be payable. * If you or anyone in your booking tests positive for COVID-19 either during or soon after a stay, you MUST inform Aardvark Alpine Lodge (manager or booking officer) and relevant authorities immediately. We can assure you that booking your preferred time at Aardvark Alpine Lodge for winter 2020 comes with a guarantee of FULL REFUND if we are not operational at the time of your stay.

24.01.2022 In the current COVID-19 induced state of flux, lockdown and anxiety, we hope everyone is coping OK and staying healthy. While isolating you may have wondered about the impact on this this year's ski season. An update from Hotham Alpine Resort can be found here: https://www.mthotham.com.au//latest-news/update-from-mharmb At this stage nobody really knows what's going to happen, except to say that we'll continue to wash our hands, stay away from each other and plan for a ski ...season - if it happens even in part we'll be thankful to get out there! We are still opening bookings at 10am on April 1 (next WED) and are currently finalising a special set of COVID-19 policies, particularly with regards to cancellations. Full details will be released via our Facebook page, website and email list in coming days. Rest assured if the resort and/or Aardvark are closed at the time of your booked stay, FULL REFUNDS will be provided.

Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by and out there fighting the fires in our beautiful high country and further afield. 07.01.2022 Sadly after carefully considering a range of factors ranging from the shared configuration of our lodge through to the risk factors of operating in the shadow of COVID-19, the Aardvark committee has decided to NOT OPEN to the public for season 2020. This is not a decision taken lightly and we would love to operate as per normal if we were confident of keeping our guests safe and reliably fulfilling bookings. The ongoing delay with advice on capacity restrictions and operating guidelines from authorities has also impacted on our difficult decision. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Aardvark next year during what we trust will be a more normal season.
