25.01.2022 We have three runners at Globe Derby Park on Saturday ALCATRAZ LASS, IT AINT THE MONEY and GODOFTHUNDER. Alcatraz Lass is having her third start off a break. Was a solid first-up third, but was always well back last time. It Aint The Money has had two wins and a last-second second since returning from a freshen up. Has drawn the pole and returns to the shorter trip.... Godofthunder is knocking on the door with a second and third in his two runs this preparation, Again starts off 30m.

25.01.2022 A newcomer to the team, POSTAL RUN, has his first start for us at Mildura on Friday night. OZZIE MAJOR, THREE CASES and RAGING INFERNO also look to regain some form at Hobart on Friday night.

25.01.2022 Can trotter ONE NIGHT OUT make it two wins on end for trainer Craig Cross at Menangle on Tuesday? Thanks again to SUMMIT BLOODSTOCK for allowing us to have a share. Were enjoying the ride.

25.01.2022 Dani Hill is on with 5 winners yesterday We are so excited to be partnering with Dani Hill with our Ladies Club! We will be capping it at 200 members, so we ...only have 10 spots left! If you are thinking of joining, the cut of date is the 30th of November! If you are interested, message us.

24.01.2022 POSTAL RUN has his second start for us and trainer Kate Hargreaves at Mildura on Thursday night. He ran third first-up at the same track on November 13 after racing in southern NSW.

23.01.2022 With no racing in South Australia this weekend owing a COVID-19 lockdown, we can turn our full attention interstate firstly to Burnie on Friday night with Ben Yole racing RAGING INFERNO, THREE CASES and OZZIE MAJOR, which is coming off an improved second at Hobart. Each is drawn favourably ion the front row.

23.01.2022 Keen to see how square gaiter ONE NIGHT OUT goes first-up for New South Wales premier trainer Craig Cross first-up at Menangle on Tuesday. The NZ-bred 8yo, which we have a share of with Summit Bloodstock, races for the first time since Globe Derby Park in early May. Already a five-time winner this season.... Good luck to all involved Summit Bloodstock

23.01.2022 Aaron Bain Racings decision to send a team to Queensland struck immediate success with stable star Ideal World leading throughout at Albion Park on Friday, August 28. Story continues... http://www.aaronbainracing.com.au/ideal-world/ Photo: Alion Park

22.01.2022 RISING HIGH is looking to build on a last-start third at Ballarat for trainer Kate Hargreaves when the 3yo lines up at Maryborough on Monday.

22.01.2022 STALL ONE is second-up over a mile at Port Pirie on Tuesday night. Has not raced since August 15, but has trialed at Gawler - winning with last mile in 1:57.6 and last half in 57.1.

22.01.2022 Always an enjoyable morning when owners come out to see their horses and enjoy the serenity of the stable environment. We are looking forward to rolling out a series of Owners Open Days at the stables in 2021. #experiencetheTHRILL... Dianne MacGuinness Helen Mitchell Rocky Butterworth

22.01.2022 OZZIE MAJOR has been gradually building and follows a third at Launceston when he faces the starter at the same track on Sunday night. Starts off the second row. Our other two runners from the Ben Yole stable are RAGING INFERNO and ONEOFTHELADS. Raging Inferno is second-up from a freshen-up and having his fourth start since arriving in Tasmania from Queensland. He is well travelled having started his racing career in Victoria

21.01.2022 Have you ever owned a Race Horse? Now is your chance! We are excited to start our journey with SAX PLAYER tonight at Mildura and we still have 10% available. What an opportunity - an owner with a horse racing within hours!... Call Aaron now to secure this exclusive offer 0439 184 802 SAX PLAYER (Shadow Play US-Miss Saxony) 4yo gelding. 27 starts 2-1-1. Aaron is training this half-brother to two-time group 1 winner (including 2018 SA Pacing Cup) Shadow Sax. Has spent all their career in WA. Last raced on January 12 and was third to stablemate Bottle Rock in a trial at Gawler on Sunday.

21.01.2022 It's almost 12 months since Oneofthelads had a win, but look what he's done for trainer Ben Yole in his latest 14 starts - 6 seconds and 5 thirds. If any pacer deserves a win, Oneofthelads is it at Hobart on Sunday night. OZZIE MAJOR go head-to-head on the same program

21.01.2022 Were hoping for third time lucky with NZ import BOTTLE ROCK (trained by Scott Garraway) at Mildura on Friday night. He bounced back from a luckless first outing at the circuit to just get caught on the line last time. Good luck to everyone involved

21.01.2022 Much-travelled IDEAL WORLD marks his return to Queensland when he hits the track at Albion Park on Friday night. When we last had Ideal World in the Sunshine State he finished second to Colt Thirty One in the 2018 group 3 PREMIERS CUP. He has since then had extended stays in Victoria and Tasmania.... Ideal World last raced at Gawler in March. Wishing Narissa McMullen all the best with the 7yo.

20.01.2022 ALCATRAZ LASS and WESTAR SAM each come off last-start thirds at Globe Derby Park on Saturday night. Alcatraz Lass was first up off a five-month break a week ago and worked home hard from last, doing her best work over the final 400m. Westar Sam extended his run of top-three placings to eight after facing the breeze at his latest run a week ago.

17.01.2022 Great to have runners with Narissa McMullen in two features at Albion Park on Saturday night. GODOFTHUNDER lines up in the group 2 DARREN ALEXANDER TROTTING CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL, 2647m, after qualifying with fourths in each of his two heats and IT AINT THE MONEY contests the AQWA CONSTRUCTIONS APHRC MEMBERS CUP, 2138m. It Aint The Money has already had two wins in Queensland, but this is a tougher assignment from the second row.... We start off the night with IDEAL WORLD going after his fourth win in the Sunshine State, also with a second row draw. Looking forward to it. See more

17.01.2022 Exciting to get a double at Globe Derby Park on Saturday night with IT AIN THE MONEY in the HYGAIN PACE, 1800m and GODOFTHUNDER in the VALE BARRY NORMAN TROTTERS DISCRETIONARY HCP, 2230m. Also a double for reinsman Wayne Hill. It Aint The Money found the lead from gate one and dictated terms to rate 1:58.1. This gives the former New Zealander 10 career wins and six since joining our team at the start of the year.... Congratulations to all connections - Aaron Bain Racing Pty Ltd, Wear The Fox Hat Syndicate, W A Eade, P G Hastie, J Booth, D Kiryk, D Wyatt, G Stevens, A D Lee, M Beattie, B A Ebert, T Gordon, A Gordon and J Rohrlach Godofthunder came off 30m and then faced the breeze before surging to the lead with 600m to run. Taking his career stakes to over $50,000. The win followed two minor placings since returning for owner Dom Martello. Weve had a great week with wins in three states. Check out our stable news: http://www.aaronbainracing.com.au/stablenews/

17.01.2022 Big, big night coming up for us at Mildura tonight with three newcomers having their first starts for ABR Racing NZ import ALEXIA ROSE, ex-WA pacer SAX PLAYER and former Victorian-based A GOOD KNIGHT. Let’s take a look at each in profile: Alexia Rose (Somebeachsomewhere US-Averil’s Atom NZ) 5yo mare. 9 starts 0-2-1. Aaron is training her, with this being her first start since July last year. She has trialed twice, including a second to stablemate Arco at Gawler on Sunday.... Sax Player (Shadow Play US-Miss Saxony) 4yo gelding. A Good Knight (Mr Feelgood US-Good Fun For All NZ) 5yo gelding. 51 starts 3-9-2. The last win was at Shepparton in July. Last raced December 10, but did finish second in Gawler trial on Sunday. Trained by Jake Webster. We’re in partnership with Summit Bloodstock and Alex Ashwood.

17.01.2022 WINNING TRIFECTA FOR SA 1. NEW SA ONLY HANDICAPPING AND RATINGS RELIEF SYSTEM 2. ANOTHER $10,000 SUPER SATURDAY ANNOUNCED 3. COMBINED RACE MEETINGS FOR PORT ...PIRIE AND MT GAMBIER Harness Racing SA today announced three new initiatives aimed at benefitting those active within the industry in SA. Topping the list is a significant modification to Handicapping and Ratings system where ratings concessions will be applied to horses which have less than 10 lifetime wins (excluding wins as 2YOs). Commencing 1st September 2020, the new concession scheme, which has been designed following a recent handicapping audit, and in consultation with industry participants, will essentially provide greater relief for 2YOs; 3YOs; horses embarking on their racing careers and those horses which are somewhat lesser credentialled. Details of the Concession Scheme can be found by following the link at the bottom of this release. Also announced today is the great news that another $10,000 `Super Saturday will be conducted on the last Saturday in September (26th). The `Super Saturday initiative has galvanised considerable interest and, like this months edition, where only SA trained horses are eligible, the format for the September `Super Saturday will follow similar lines. Details will follow shortly. This is a further opportunity to reward those actively participating in the SA harness racing industry. The final initiative announced is the novel concept of conducting a race meeting at two venues on the same night. This being bought about by both the desire to increase racing opportunities in regional areas, together with the challenges bought about through Covid -19 and the restrictions imposed. More particularly, it is intended to program a race meeting at Mount Gambier and Port Pirie on the same night, where four races will be run at each venue. These being conducted under the SA Trots banner, with it being the intention to conduct these race meetings at regular two-weekly intervals. The commencement date for this unique concept to be advised. For further information please contact: ROSS NEAL | CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (08) 8285 2899 [email protected] Concession Scheme Matrix: http://www.harness.org.au//Ratings%20Concessions%20Draft%2:

16.01.2022 Exciting new journey for us with Summit Bloodstock begins at Goulburn in NSW on Sunday with New Zealand import NEARIS GREEN having his first Australian start. Nearis Green (trained by Craig Cross) is a 7yo and has arrived with 5 career wins. He’s a son of American Ideal and is a half-brother two two winners. He has not raced since August last year and raced just six times last season. He has drawn four in a 2240m event.... Ben Yole has three runners for us at Hobart on Sunday night - ONEOFHTELADS, OZZIE MAJOR and POSTAL RUN. Oneofthelads is one of the most consistent pacers going around in Tasmania. He just needs a win, given he is two days short of 12 months since his previous last success, which was at this track and over the same distance. Hopefully there’s an omen there. Ozzie Major and Postal Run are in the same race. Ozzie Major is racing well and should be prominent from barrier four, while Postal Run will have to work his way into the race from the second as he pursues his first Tasmanian victory.

16.01.2022 GODOFTHUNDER is engaged in heat 3 of the opening round of the DARRELL ALEXANDER TROTTING CHAMPIONSHIP at Albion Park on Saturday night. He is yet to win in Queensland. Could this is fourth start-up north be the breakthrough moment? IDEAL WORLD goes for three wins on end again over 1660m on the same program.

16.01.2022 Last start winners GODOFTHUNDER and IT AINT THE MONEY are off to QLD! They will be joining trainer Narissa McMullens team We cant wait to see them out on the track

16.01.2022 IDEAL WORLD (trained by Narissa McMullen) is our first starter for 2021, with the now 8yo lining up at Albion Park on Saturday night. He's been a model of consistency since arriving in Queensland midway through last year, with 3 wins, 4 seconds a third in 12 starts.

15.01.2022 POSTAL RUN has delivered at his second run for us - stamping his authority in the GARNERS HARNESS RACING COLOURS 3YO PACE at Mildura on Thursday night. He’s gone 1:59.5. Thanks and congratulations to Kate Hargreaves and Alex Ashwood and all others involved

15.01.2022 What a month October was for ABR across Australia... Pebblesonthebeach: Globe Derby Park, October 6 Bottle Rock (trained by Kate Hargreaves): Horsham, October 7 Suresoundslikealie: Mildura, October 9... It Aints The Money (trained by Narissa McMullen): Albion Park, October 20 Bottle Rock: Mildura, October 24 Rising High (trained by Kate Hargreaves): Mildura, October 24 Pebblesonthebeach: Globe Derby Park, October 26 Ideal World, Albion Park, October 31 Congratulations to all connections and owners and well done to all our trainers!

15.01.2022 A GOOD KNIGHT (trained by Jake Webster) saluted first-up for us, Summit Bloodstock and Alex Ashwood in a tight finish in THE EUSTON CLUB PACE, 1790m, at Mildura on Tuesday night, going 1:58.4 after sitting three-wide for a large part of the race and then fighting back in the closing stages when it appeared he might have to settle for second. We weren’t far away from multiple successes either with HILLTOP BREEZE second and other first-time runners for us ALEXIA ROSE and SAX PLAYER second.

15.01.2022 We have midweek racing in Tasmania, with Ben Yole taking ONEOFTHELADS and THREE CASES to Devonport on Wednesday night. Each will have to deal with drawing outside the front row. Good luck to all involved

14.01.2022 ONE NIGHT OUT (driven by Luke McCarthy for trainer Craig Cross) makes it two wins from as many starts in New South Wales finishing on after getting a trail behind the leader in the McWICKED @ COBBITY EQUINE TROT, 2300m, at Menangle on Tuesday.

14.01.2022 GODOFTHUNDER and IT AINT THE MONEY are expanding our presence in Queensland, joining Narissa McMullens stable.

13.01.2022 WESTAR SAM faces the challenge of starting off the outside of the second row when he again treks across the border to Mildura for a $10,000 final. He has shown a liking for the track with a second and last-start win there.

13.01.2022 IDEAL WORLD has his second start for Queensland trainer Narissa McMullen at Albion Park on Saturday night. He could hardly have been more impressed than his first-up win in the Sunshine State, winning in 1:53.2 over 1660m. He steps up to 2138m and starts from the favourable draw of gate one. While we have fain at home base in Gawler, Ideal World and the rest of the team up north are no doubt enjoying much more sunshine.

13.01.2022 Great start to IDEAL WORLDs time in Narissa McMullens Queensland stable, with the 7yo finding the lead saluting in a slashing 1:53.2 in the SKY RACING NO BAND CONDITIONED PACE, 1660m, on Friday night. That gives him wins in NZ, South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania, and now the Sunshine State. Congratulations to all connections.

12.01.2022 4yo ONEOFTHELADS (trained by Ben Yole) gets an opportunity to improve on his latest efforts from gate six at Hobart on Sunday night.

12.01.2022 SURESOUNDSLIKEALIE is backing up from an impressive win at Globe Derby Park on Sunday night - going around in fillies' and mares' company at the same circuit on Tuesday night. We'll also have a close eye on Devonport in Tassie with the consistent OZZIE MAJOR joining LIVE FOR PEACE at the races. Ozzie Major has a win, second and three thirds from his latest six runs, while Live For Peace is having his second outings for us.

12.01.2022 GODOFTHUNDER (trained by Narissa McMullen) contest a heat in the second round of the DARRELL ALEXANDER TROTTING CHAMPIONSHIP at Albion Park on Saturday night. He finished fourth in the opening round. This is his fifth start since arriving in Queensland from our home base in SA.

12.01.2022 ALCATRAZ LASS backs up at Globe Derby Park on Monday after a close-up fourth on the same circuit two days ago. This is is her fourth outing since returning from a break. Weve had a tremendous run over the past week with wins in NSW, Queensland and at home here in SA. It would be great to keep that going.

12.01.2022 ALCATRAZ LASS and STALL ONE return from breaks at Globe Derby on Saturday night, while WESTAR SAM and IT AINT THE MONEY look to continue on their winning ways as we line up six starters. Westar Sam attempts to stretch his winning sequence to five. The NZ imports run began on June 20 and all his victories have come at Globe Derby Park, where he has taken out nine of 14 starts. Alcatraz Star goes to the races for the first time since March 21. The 4yo mare won four on end ...from November through to February all coming at different tracks in Mildura, Port Pirie, Globe Derby and Mt Gambier (Mt Gambier Gold Cup). It Aint The Money has won back-to-back races at Port Pirie and Globe Derby in two starts back from a spell, giving him five wins this season. Bottle Rock is second-up after finishing second in Australian debut at Globe Derby on July 20. That was the Betterthancheddar 4yos first run race start since February. He won a trial ahead of Stall One at Gawler on Sunday. Stall One is back after a freshen up, having last raced on June 13. He was a winner at Bendigo three starts ago at Bendigo in mid-May. Godofthunder is coming off a first-up second off 30m, which was his first start in four months. He starts off 30m again.

11.01.2022 Winning reinsman Wayne Hill gave full credit to trainer Aaron Bain after the win of Surely Not at Globe Derby Park on Monday, February 15. Aaron deserves all the praise, Hill said. He has done a fantastic job with this horse just to get him to the track, let alone win.... Read more below...

11.01.2022 50 One Night Out got the win with Craig Cross training and Luke McCarthy driving at Menangle 18/08/2020

11.01.2022 It was close, but he made it. BOTTLE ROCK had his first win since joining our stable at Globe Derby Park on Saturday night. With driver Wayne Hill getting everything out of him, than Betterthancheddar 4yo saluted by a neck in the HYGAIN MICRSPEED PACE, 22300m rating 2:1.5. It was just his second start since arriving from New Zealand and followed a first-up second. Congratulations to all Bottle Rocks connections - Aaron Bain Racing Pty Ltd, ABR 100 CLUB 2.00, Wear The Fox... Hat Syndicate, W A Eade, P G Hastie, D Kiryk, D Walker, D Wilsdon, A D Lee, B J Bain, Sheffield Bottle Rock It Aint The Money Godofthunder Westar Sam NZ Alcatraz Lass

10.01.2022 BOTTLE ROCK chases a Vicbred bonus at Mildura on Friday night. He has been transferred to the Victorian stable of Scott Garraway and backs up after his first Australian win at Globe Derby Park on Saturday Night. Meanwhile in Tasmania, RAGING INFERNO and THREE CASES go head-to-head at Launceston on Friday night as they strive to turn their form around from second row draws with trainer Ben Yole.

10.01.2022 Huge run by WESTAR SAM (Wayne Hill) to capture the $10,000 ZILZIE WINES PACE FINAL at Mildura on Monday night after covering so much extra ground. What a few days it’s been for the stable **Video unavailable

10.01.2022 RISING HIGH goes to Stawell for the first time for trainer Kate Hargreaves on Sunday and looks well suited to use gate speed from gate three. Then we have Ben Yole-trained duo OZZIE MAJOR and RAGING INFERNO engaged in the same race at Devonport on Sunday night.

09.01.2022 Suresoundslikealie brilliant The patience of Aaron Bain Racing’s 100 Club was rewarded when Suresoundslikealie won her first South Australian race at Globe Derby Park on Sunday, December 27. And didn’t she do it in style!... Suresoundslikealie ($3 fav) raced away to win the Hopkins Saddlery Pace (1800m) by 18 metres from Shardonant ($3.50) with Golden Jaylet ($5.50), four metres away third. Driven by Wayne Hill, the Aaron Bain-trained four-year-old mare made sure she was only the one in the photo with the ease of her victory. Hill allowed her to come away at her own speed from gate seven in the field of eight and she settled three-back in the running line. Suresoundslikealie started to improve with a lap to go and Hill allowed the mare to stride up outside the leader going into the back straight. Coming off the back straight the mare cruised clear and ran to the line unextended, to the delight of her 100 owners spaced on track, around the country and overseas. The ownership group of the ABR 100 Club was formed in March 2019 by Gawler trainer Aaron Bain to celebrate 100 years of harness racing in South Australia. Interest was so strong when he launched the Club that it had the 100 members within 72 hours and Suresoundslikealie was purchased. However, a series of setbacks restricted her racetrack appearances but finally she scored her first win for the connections at Mildura on October 8 when she also collected her Vicbred bonus. The mare had another slight setback but was readied by Bain for her return to tonight and she was able to display the talent her ownership group had faith she would finally deliver. Now, the ABR 100 Club will be hoping the mare can back it up at Globe Derby Park on Tuesday night when she is drawn to contest the Newspot Motor Group Fillies & Mares Pace (1800m) where she will come from gate three.

09.01.2022 What a return it’s been. SURESOUNDSLIKEALIE (Wayne Hill) makes it two wins in the space of three days in the NEWSPOT MOTOR GROUP PACE for fillies at Globe Derby Park on Tuesday night. Winning margins have been 18.1m and 13.4m.

09.01.2022 51 One Night Out got the win with Craig Cross training and Luke McCarthy driving at Menangle 25/08/2020

08.01.2022 A great friend of Summit Bloodstock in Aaron Bain entrusted us to find him a horse from New Zealand for his industry leading ARB 100 club 2.0 where a large grou...p of people can own a part share in a race horse. Last night at his second start Bottle Rock got the job done in fine fashion for his amazing group of owners. Its a feeling many of them described as Euphoric and a feeling only race horse ownership can give. Congrats everyone! Photography: Walter Bulyga

07.01.2022 We're well overdue for a win in Tasmania and the same can be said for ONEOFTHELADS, which strives to get a well deserved victory at Devonport on Sunday night. His last seven starts have produced three seconds, two thirds and two fourths. His outside draw makes it tough, but be sure he will be in the firing line again for trainer Ben Yole.

04.01.2022 We’re racing in three states today - at home in South Australia, Queensland and Tasmania. SURESOUNDSLIKEALIE and WESTAR SAM line up in the opening two races at Globe Derby. Each has been a lot of fun for all involved. Suresoundslikealie has won three times since returning from an enforced break and is chasing a hattrick of victories at HQ. Westar Sam is coming off a remarkable season that produced 12 wins, including his past two outings at Mildura to take his earnings past $1...00,000. RAGING INFERNO (trained by Graeme Kelley) has his second King Island start on Saturday afternoon. 02.01.2022 BOTTLE ROCK (trained by Scott Garraway) makes another attempt at picking up his Vicbred bonus at Mildura on Friday night. After two impressive efforts in South Australia - a first and second - after arriving from New Zealand, Bottle Rock did not have things go his way in Victorian debut at Mildura. Hoping for better luck from a second-row draw.

02.01.2022 Great to have MELODYS DAUGHTER back in the stable. She had eight wins with us before stints in Victoria and New South Wales.
