25.01.2022 MY BOYS....KEEP ME GOING! Running your own business can be a tough gig even at the best of times, myself and our team at BR are making some positive changes to Body Revival and alongside that going through a bit of restructure so as you could Imagine I’m currently juggling a million and one things! -... Which is super stressful and super fulfilling at the same time, my time is spread super thin...the demands are tiring with long hours and ensuring I make the right decisions. Waking up at 4.30am and finishing at around 6-9pm every night over the last couple of weeks has taken its toll and can’t be sustained long term. - This morning I decided to take the morning off and spend some much needed time with the kids to re-energise myself and slow me down and mannnn my kids truly bring me the most joy in the world and I really can’t describe how much I love them and how grateful I am to have them in my life. - This morning was just the best and really reminded me not to take life to seriously...this morning I asked Hendrix where he wanted me to take them tomorrow and he said he wanted to go for a dinasour hunt to Jurassic park haha, this morning Presley was attached to my hip, hendrix wanted me to read him shopping catalogs, Presley was losing his mind because he wanted to watch the wiggles, Hendrix was hiding form me and I found him jumping in his bed, Presley wanted to eat grated cheese which he thought it would be funny so throw it all over the bed lol and they were both giving me the best bear hugs... - I am so grateful to be a dad and have the opportunity to love and be there for my kids Every single day, I am grateful I have the power to impact my children’s life and be there for them as they grow. 24.01.2022 I LOVE AND HATE THE FITNESS INDUSTRY! But Why..... I LOVE the fitness industry but unfortunately there are a lot of things I HATE about it too, the main one being that some fitness companies set UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS to the public to get people in the door. It truly burns me inside how some companies can get away with promoting challenges that push there clients to lose 9KG in 6WK or put their members on a 1200 calorie diet and make them do high intensity function...al training 45min workouts 5+ days a week. These expectations, hopes and dreams they promise are unrealistic and to say the least are doing more damage then good... As a fitness industry unfortunately we a losing the fight at against obesity with more people overweight then ever before... We all need to stand together and educate, teach and help people develop the skills, mindset, knowledge of training and nutrition so it can be implemented at home When no one is watching, not just for a few weeks or couple of months... Personally I can’t sell or Promote something that I don’t believe in, our vision is to give people the tools they need to achieve goals long term, we need to ensure our members understand that fat loss takes time to sustain long term results, you will hit road blocks, you will have set backs, it does take time to untangle your bad habits and for those who generally take the longer road they are the ones who sustain long term results. I know what I’m saying isn’t SEXY MARKETING but it’s REAL TALK!! There will be days you will want to give it up... There will be days where you will eat because your emotional... There will be days where your drink to Much or eat to much for a sense of relief... There will be days where you will get over excited and eat more then your meant to and ruin your week from your CHEAT MEAL (DESCRIBING MYSELF) But you know what??? it is ok, it’s how you learn and overcome the obstacle and how Each obstacle makes you a stronger person even if you don’t win the first time, just be aware and if you F$#K up it’s all good just DON’T GIVE UP!!! 10.01.2022 PRESSURE, STRESS, ANXIETY, LESSONS This is exactly how I am feeling today! But how I choose to deal with these emotions is on me... -... I woke up this morning with an extremely tight back and body was aching and I know first hand when this happens its because I feel all the above emotions...I woke up wanting to cry, because things currently feel very overwhelming! - But once had a moment to reflect and put things into perceptive, my thought process started to change and I know longer feel overwhelmed instead I feel grateful for my circumstances and understand that growth is a painful process... - Currently, I’m in the middle of doing something that I know will pay off and taking a big risk putting myself in a very, very uncomfortable situation, a situation that I have never put myself in before. On top of that I’m making some big changes at Body Revival which is coming at me all at once. It’s a juggling act that I know I can do.. - BUT We all have choices and I have choice...my choice is to put a smile on my face and hit the day head on and appreciate the process! Yes I am feeling stress, anxious and the pressure is on but I know these are all lessons and I have a choice of how I can deal with them!! I choose to smile and face the day head on with a grateful mindset - I’m a grateful that I get to put myself in a very uncomfortable situation and I get the opportunity to do what I do every day!
