24.01.2022 OCCLUSION TRINING Utilising the effects of The Occlusion Cuff to rehab lower limb injuries. The cuffs allow us to increase the metabolic processes and muscle work without increasing joint loading above body weight. This means more muscle stress without increased joint stress.

18.01.2022 Lower Trapezius This is a great example of how the Lower Trapezius performs retraction and depression, along with the Mid portion of the muscle. Taking the scapula around the rib cage without the depression component being influenced by the latissimus dorsi or pectoralis major (which can often be the case). With rehab, ensuring we are getting the right movements can be the difference between doing rehab once or repeatedly. #loadwelllivewell

Check out the perfect form on the lads as they played follow the leader. @muppet_to_ironman had just cruised to a new half marathon PB and I was floating on air, loving every second of my run. 10.01.2022 Pelvic Pallof A great addition to a program that requires pelvic stability with anti-rotational core control. A progression could see added rotation into the pallof or a pallof switch variation Regressions for pelvic control can be as simple as a nut bush or single leg weight bearing glute work. A straight pallof or split pallof is a simple core regression.

08.01.2022 VASTUS MEDIALIS There is so much conjecture on trying to get your VM (or VMO) stronger/activated/isolated etc etc. Although you cant isolate the Vastus Medialis, you can create and artificial environment in which it is forced to be accentuated. The wall squat with a plate does just that!! By adding the plate under the heel and big toe knuckle, (1st metatarsal) you cause a biomechanical environment whereby the arch, knee and hip are forced into a more positive position allowing for better targeting (but not isolated) on the Vastus Medialis

07.01.2022 PROGRESS This chick has been stabbed, compexed, occluded, bent, poked, twisted and man-handed into so many positions over this year. We have seen many milestones, fast progress and times of frustration, stacks, floppy legs turned feet, turned toes... Pain, flare ups, tap outs and more... and these are just the times weve shared together. After a disc injury that changed Annas life, she has gone from a wheelchair, to lethal on crutches, to king-fu handstand walking and cli...mbing her way over squat racks. Stoked to get the milestone of equal quad size and gaining calf size after still suffering limited L5-S1 innovation. The strength and resilience Anna has shown and the help of the physio team at Inspire, has helped her overcome some massive hurdles. Looking forward to some more weekly questions and fun filled sessions as we continue to rebuild and make strides forward!!

Coaching the @sbrtriathlon team to bigger heights than ever before and becoming the 1st female PRESIDENT of @triaustralia Very proud of having a small part in keeping Coops together through this all, but nothing amounts to the efforts she continues to produce and the dedication she has to the sport of Triathlon. 02.01.2022 Hamstrings A favourite of mine when trying to ensure I hit the hamstring at hip extension. Utilising this exercise for runners who constantly challenge their hamstrings through both actions.

02.01.2022 Lying Hip Flexor March Whilst still working on single leg balance, I use this exercise to ensure hip stability is still progressing around the other muscles. The Lying Hip Flexor March creates a link between the hip flexors and glutes (anterior and posterior hip stabilisers) whilst not needing to focus on single leg stability. Progress this to a Standing Wall March to introduce weight-bearing and therefore challenging Glute med specifically Regress this exercise to single extension and flexion based exercises as a superset or triset with a core bracing exercise

01.01.2022 SINGLE LEG POWER How often in sport does a player get to jump of both legs? Often it is off one leg with some form of a run up. I use this exercise to develop single leg power at greater ranges (the step) and also teach landing mechanics as an injury prevention tool. There are some cool progressions too.
