22.01.2022 One of my iwi is Ngati Rehua of Aotea (Great Barrier Is) and our stories speak of the god Rehua who came to earth and took human form from whom we descend. This little piece is a reference to both and the belief that we come from the stars and return to the stars when Matariki (Pleiades) next appears after our passing.

05.01.2022 Hi all this is a repost from Alicia Judd Tomorrow, August 4th is National Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander children’s day, which is a day to celebrate ...the strengths and culture of Indigenous Australian children. I wanted to share a beautifully poignant and sobering film I saw recently, which ties significantly with this date; In my blood it runs. The film is available on ABC iView until 11pm tomorrow night and I would recommend this highly if you have the opportunity to watch it.

04.01.2022 You may have noticed I’ve been playing around with images of late, in terms of filters and digitally drawing on them. This one was for my soul sister and all round amazing human @i.am.ljae - She rocks blue/green/turquoise mermaid hair like no other!! I was pretty happy with it - the improvement I will make next time will be the angle & curvature of the ring.
