25.01.2022 Sunday night long run - 23km, plus a 1.5km cool down. Running from Kensington to Surrey Hills is definitely harder than the other direction. That gradual uphill was tough, especially so late in the day! #nightrun #23kmforgor #run #weekendrunning #runthehills #melbournerunning #solorunning #thisgirlcan

25.01.2022 My running place as I slowly return after a bone stress injury. It’s soft, close to home, and best of all it’s off lead for dogs, so I can exercise the boys while I walk/run. Today was day 1 - 9min walk/1 min run x 3. Those 3 minutes of running felt amazing #feelingpositive #theslowcomeback #runningmelbourne #rehab #bichonfrise #wornoutbichons

25.01.2022 Saturday afternoon deliveries are the best! Adding a few more YBells to the collection, so that I can lend some out to my clients for their virtual PT sessions. Stage 4 restrictions are challenging, but staying fit and staying connected contributes to our physical and mental well being. Keep moving Melbourne #ybellfitness #pt #fitness #lockdownlife #wearemelbourne #fitfamily #stayconnected #virtualtrainer

24.01.2022 It’s a new shoe sort of day @sarahk.runs #brooksrunning #runnerslife #timetorun #newshoes

23.01.2022 It was great to get back to some face to face coaching this morning, even if it was cold! After so much virtual training via zoom in the last few months, It felt a little strange, but it won’t take long to get my rhythm back. #coaching #wintertraining #running #backtowork #melbournerunning

23.01.2022 The beam collection is growing. The block style is proving effective for adding an extra stability aspect to single leg weight work. The round beam is making a real difference to my foot work. Now I just need a narrow flat beam to support transition of weighted work from the wider beam onto the round beam #alwayslearning #ptlife #handyhusband #footstrength #runnerslife

20.01.2022 What a perfect day to explore our network of bike trails. We’re so lucky to live in this beautiful city! It’s a shame I fell off 45km into my ride #ilovemelbourne #melbournecycling #crosstraining

19.01.2022 This afternoon I decided to test out my foot with a slow, continuous run. I managed an hour with 2 brief stops, the first at 40 mins and one more up a hill. My foot is having a little talk now, but hopefully it will stay at a whisper, and not turn in to a scream Thanks @sarahk.runs for keeping me on track. I’m so happy#christmasisalmosthere #halloweenrun #recoveryispossible #melbournerunning #injuryrecovery #week18

17.01.2022 Time for the boot to come off and begin loading. I’m only allowed 3000 steps today I knew it would be challenging, but I’ve already gone over and it’s only 2.30. Looks like the rest of the day will be spent on the couch watching Netflix #recovery #sticktotheplan #runnerslife #injuredrunner

17.01.2022 The IMF virtual run has become an annual event in my calendar. My November target was way lower than usual, but still happy to have managed 114km post injury running. This year’s medal has to be my favourite so far, it lists the names of all the people whose running was supported through this amazing initiative. Congratulations and well done to everyone involved @imfvirtualrun #runforacause #novemberrunning #medal #run #letsrun #gettingitdoneforIMF

15.01.2022 Sometimes we push our load over that fine line of optimal training into the high risk zone. It’s a good reminder to make sure that you’re getting enough recovery in your training plan. Little setbacks are frustrating, but they provide opportunities to learn how to do better. #learntodobetter #recovery #runnerslife #injuryrecovery #keepmovingforward #continuouslearning #illbeback

14.01.2022 It's time to get back to some face to face training! Please make sure you're familiar with our Covid Safety Plan prior to your session.

14.01.2022 Ready to take an early morning virtual PT session with a special helper. Looks like he’s mastered the sleeping dog exercise #ptlife #virtualtrainer #covidsafe #keepmoving #itsadogslife #popupstudio

14.01.2022 Even though I love cycling, rowing, Pilates, swimming, and strength work, nothing quite measures up to running! I’ll be back, I just need to be patient and do the right thing. In the meantime I’m living vicariously through my running friends and family My take away lesson is that I need to get better at listening to my own training advice. #patience #injuredrunner #timeheals #comebackstronger #activelifestyle

13.01.2022 I just registered for the Indigenous Marathon Foundation virtual run for the 5th year in a row. Get on board and run throughout November to support this amazing organisation!

11.01.2022 Loved getting back to some trails tonight! People = not too many, Falls = 0, Bugs = the entire population of #Melbourne . Despite swallowing and inhaling a few thousand of them, I still felt amazing after 11km of nature #trail running #trails #running #naturerun #Fridaynightrun #startingtheweekendright #extraprotein #missing605

11.01.2022 Early birthday present It couldn’t have arrived at a better time! #waterrower #fitness #keeponmoving #besthusbandever

08.01.2022 Happy Global Running Day! I managed a 5km to celebrate the day, but unfortunately my foot didn’t think it was a good idea It looks like I’ll be on the bike for the next few days. Crossing my fingers that I bounce back quickly, and that this isn’t a more serious injury #globalrunningday #footinjury #running #runnerslife #focusonstrength #timeforcrosstraining #gainstrength

08.01.2022 And it’s out of the box! An easy 30MINS tonight, working on my technique. Rowing will definitely keep my cardio up while my foot injury heals

05.01.2022 This week I farewelled my Aunty Mavis. In 1976, at the age of 43, she was a victim of a hit and run accident, miraculously surviving serious and life threatening injuries. Her life was changed forever. Today, I ran for her: for all the years she could no longer live an active lifestyle; for the years that she was strong and resilient, despite living with pain; and for the years that she managed to move on with life as a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a great grandmother. I’m ashamed to say that for many years I was embarrassed by having the middle name Mavis, now I own it with pride. It is an honour to be named after such a strong woman. Rest In Peace Aunty Mavis #strongwomen #farewell #ownthename #runwithpurpose

04.01.2022 Another great share from Brad Beer at Pogo Physio. We can’t underestimate the power of recovery in our training.

02.01.2022 It was a foggy training session in Melbourne this morning! Managed to keep our feet dry, but it was a little chilly. Brrrr #outdoortraining #personaltraining #winterinmelbourne #lovemyclients

01.01.2022 Melbourne Marathon 10km. I might have stopped just after Garmin clocked 10km, only to discover that according to the app I was still 80metres from the finish line Thanks @sarahk.runs for keeping me moving when I really wanted to stop! #melbmara #virtualrunning #thecomeback #slowlygettingthere #sundayrunday #maribyrnongriverrun
