25.01.2022 Pictures taken 18 March 2019 For those who dont know R.O.N.E, youre welcome, now you do. Be sure to follow him. He puts on some of the best art exhibitions ever. These are old photos. The Empire exhibition ran from March 6 - April 22 2019 at the iconic Burnham Beeches, Dandenong Ranges. The mansion is iconic in Victorias history. This amazing property was abandoned and sitting empty for many many years until the current developers purchased it, let Rone come in to do his th...ing. 18.01.2022 Abandoned single classroom primary school, western victoria. ___ Opened 1877 closed 1993 (117 years). This one-room primary school was one of many from the era of tiny local country schools.... Everything on the blackboard is as it was on the day of closure, and many other teaching items remain scattered around the room. Under the barometer (photo 2) lies an April 1982 issue of the School Bell. Exercise books are scattered around the room, including one with newspaper clippings reporting on the schools centenary in 1977. I would show more photos, but most have the schools name, which I wish to not reveal in order to preserve this school. The school which I attended had over 1000 pupils attending at any one time. I bet this school saw less than 1000 pupils over its entire life.

10.01.2022 Located on one of the busiest corners in downtown CBD Melbourne. This 24 level office building stood abandoned for many years. One of the last companies to use the building, was NAB until they moved to their new offices in Docklands. 555 had some of the coolest views from the roof top, watching the sunset. The building was full of homeless who had claimed and put signs up on many levels, not to enter (which we respected of course) These photos are from 2017. The temporary building was replaced in 1885 with a single classroom with a four-room teachers residence attached. Over the years it also gained an underground tank and another seperate underground room to combat the summer heat. Probably one of the stranger things to happen to the school was in August of 1910 (a particularly wetter year) when the school was surrounded by water. School was not called off however and students arrived by boat, or by wading knee-deep through muddy swamp water. Some parents did however refuse to send their kids to school until the flood waters had receded. This wasnt the first time the swamp had caused an issue as in 1909 the teacher complained about the flies and insects being so bad that children were forced to work "in a state of torment". She proposed wire doors and windows to help keep them at bay whilst retaining airflow through the building. A month later in September of 1910 the floodwaters rose to cover the classroom floor and the outlet pipe of the underground tank, thus polluting it. The school was forced to close temporarily. The floodwaters receded towards the end of the year but rose again the next year with February rains. There were several proposals to move the school, but no agreement could be made so the school stayed in place. The underground room I mentioned earlier was requested by another teacher when his wife and a child were sent away after not being able to cope with the summer heat. The Department did not object to him constructing it, so long as he filled it in when he stopped teaching there. The school was finally closed in 1944 (76 years ago) after losing all attendance and the building was sold at auction. It has sat here becoming more and more derelict ever since.
