21.01.2022 In the light of recent events, our heart goes out to those suffering from the onslaught of the terrible virus. Abase committee is compassionate to those in need and is looking forward to a better future; may Allah save us from this ordeal. Due to the bans in place by the government, and keeping in mind the health and safety of the community, we have made the grave decision of postponing our Independence Day Cricket Festival 2020 until further notice. The months of preparatio...n and hard work have not gone to waste however since we aim to re-emerge stronger and better. We only implore the community to support the festival as you have until now. In Sha Allah upon the lifting of the bans and improving the situation currently, we will announce a new date for the match to be held. With the outbreak of coronavirus, many underprivileged people are counting down the days when their livelihoods will return back to normal. - The Shakib Al Hasan Foundation has taken steps to raise funds from individuals and organizations around the country and around the world to help the underprivileged people affected by Coronavirus. This is going to be the first initiative in which The Shakib Al Hasan Foundation will provide support. "Mission Save Bangladesh" is an initiative of The Daily Star, Sheba.xyz and Samakal. The purpose of this project is to provide support to low-income and underprivileged people affected by Coronavirus. So far this project has helped over 2000 underprivileged families and efforts are underway to increase this number. 04.01.2022 As a cricket loving organisation, today is a grave day for ABASE. The 28th of March was to be the day we welcome the esteemed Shakib Al Hasan on the grounds of Melbourne. However as a result of the recent events, we had to postpone the plan until further notice. The loss was a big one indeed, but we are determined to make the event bigger and better. So we urge the cricket lovers out there to hold their breath and wait for us to come back with a bigger team, a bigger event, ...a better tomorrow!
