10.01.2022 Hi all, Anthony Saric is a member at CrossFit Geelong were I also train. We have been raising funds for months now to help him with his ongoing battle with bowel cancer. He is a father of 3 and has already undergone chemotherapy, radiation & 2 weeks ago had a portion of his bowel removed. Yesterday, he saw his oncologist who informed him although they removed all the visible cancer through surgery, pathology shows that there is still live cancer even after the initial 6 weeks... of chemo & radiation. The cancer has also broken through the rectal wall & they are worried about it spreading. This means that he has another 6 month Chemotherapy regime ahead of him. They have no available research to say whether this will have any impact at all. The chemo is ranked 8/10 on the "yuck" scale and has some more noticeable side affects as oppose to the 3/10 chemo he had previously. Previously, Anthony was working in the morning and part of the afternoon and then heading in to receive treatment and attend appts most afternoons. He is a local Geelong mechanic. He is not so sure how he will go working as much as he was now with level of treatment coming up. We have set up a Go-Fund-Me for Anthony months ago and I wanted to reach out to anyone who feels they are in a position to help donate to please do so if they wish. Thankyou.
